Precision AQ is seeking an experienced and strategic Content Director to lead the development and execution of a high-impact content strategy that drives thought leadership, brand storytelling, and audience engagement. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, this role will shape the editorial voice of the company and ensure consistency, clarity, and creativity across all content channels. The ideal candidate is a seasoned content leader with deep experience in the pharmaceutical industry, capable of translating complex scientific and regulatory topics into compelling narratives that support business growth and marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and lead a comprehensive content strategy aligned with brand positioning, campaign goals, and audience needs.
  • Establish and uphold editorial standards, voice, and tone across all content formats and channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align content with business priorities and messaging frameworks.

Content Development & Oversight

  • Manage the content calendar and oversee the creation of content for campaigns, events, digital platforms, and executive communications.
  • Produce and edit a variety of content types, including thought leadership articles, white papers, case studies, blog posts, and email copy.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, compliant, and aligned with strategic marketing plans.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with teams to translate complex data into accessible, audience-appropriate content that supports product and service positioning and education.
  • Act as a strategic advisor on content-driven brand positioning and thought leadership initiatives.

Team & Workflow Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of writers, editors, and freelancers to deliver high-quality content on time and at scale.
  • Implement efficient editorial workflows, including planning, review, approvals, and publishing processes.

Performance & Optimization

  • Track content performance metrics and audience engagement to inform strategy and improve effectiveness.
  • Stay informed on content marketing trends, tools, and best practices, particularly within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in editorial, content marketing, or journalism, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries—including familiarity with scientific content, regulatory considerations, and healthcare communications.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong portfolio of B2B or scientific content.
  • Experience working with diverse teams to support large-scale content production and delivery.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting integrated marketing campaigns and event-driven content.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot.
  • Background in medical communications, scientific publishing, or healthcare marketing.

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.
