About us

Common Room is the customer intelligence platform that captures every buying signal, giving companies superpowers with AI enrichment and automation to reach the right person with the right context at the right time.

Despite an explosion of buyer signals, companies are left struggling with siloed point solution vendors, bloated tech stacks, and unactionable "intent" data. Common Room brings together all the buying signals you care about in one place so you can track the entire customer journey, match signals to real people and accounts, take action and automate

We’ve raised over $50 million from top-tier investors including Greylock, Index, and Madrona to build the world's first customer intelligence platform for modern B2B companies. And we’re backed by 25+ operators from the fastest-growing companies in the world such as Figma, Stripe, Airtable, Slack, Notion, Loom, and more.

You + Common Room? You’d be joining a team that revels in asking hard questions, collaborating gladly, and making decisions quickly—a team that values simplicity, passion, trust, each other, and our customers above all.

So hello! Please, knock on our door. We'd love to meet you.

We're looking for a creative content leader and storyteller who can elevate our brand through compelling narratives, customer stories, and innovative content across multiple mediums. This is first and foremost a creative role—someone who can craft stories that resonate, think visually, and push us into new content formats (especially video). You'll work closely with our Product Marketing and Demand Gen teams to bring customer voices to life and scale our content engine across multiple channels.
What You'll Own

Creative Content Strategy & Execution

  • Lead creative content strategy that builds brand awareness and differentiation

  • Develop and execute innovative content campaigns that get noticed and remembered

  • Expand our content across new mediums—particularly video, visual storytelling, and emerging formats

  • Create compelling brand narratives that position Common Room as a category leader

  • Balance creative storytelling with content that drives demand generation outcomes

  • Use AI tools strategically to scale content production while maintaining creative quality

Customer Storytelling

  • Transform customer success stories into multi-format content assets (written case studies, video testimonials, customer spotlights)

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Customer Success to identify compelling customer stories

  • Lead content creation for customer stories—from interviews to final assets

  • Build a library of customer proof points that can be leveraged across campaigns

Content Operations

  • Manage relationships with freelance writers, video editors, and creative production partners

  • Own content production workflows and quality standards

  • Oversee content tools and platforms needed for production and distribution

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Demand Gen, and Product teams

SEO/AEO

  • Partner with Demand Gen on SEO/AEO strategy

  • Ensure content is optimized for search and discoverability

  • Manage any SEO contractors or agencies as needed

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

  • 5+ years in content marketing, brand marketing, or creative roles in B2B SaaS

  • Strong creative portfolio demonstrating innovative content and campaigns that made an impact

  • Proven ability to create compelling customer stories across multiple formats

  • Video content experience (scripting, creative direction, managing production)

  • Experience managing freelancers and external creative partners

  • Track record of using AI to enhance and scale creative work

Required Skills

  • Exceptional storytelling abilities

  • Creative thinker who can develop original concepts and bring them to life

  • Strong writer who can adapt voice and style across different content types

  • Visual thinker who can conceptualize and direct video and multimedia content

  • Understanding of how to balance brand-building content with performance goals

  • Project management skills to juggle multiple content initiatives

  • Basic understanding of SEO best practices

What Makes You Stand Out

  • You have a creative portfolio that shows bold, memorable work

  • You're excited about experimenting with new content formats and platforms

  • You've successfully used AI to scale creative production without losing quality

  • You have experience building content programs from scratch

  • You understand B2B buying journeys but lead with creativity, not just conversion metrics

  • You have experience in technical B2B products or GTM/RevOps space

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
