As a Data Manager, within our Consumer Data Team, you will will lead end-to-end development and delivery of best in class data products and make sure our most important data is available at scale, with high quality, for better decision-making and operational need.
Job responsibilities:
- Work closely with data owners, engineers, and other cross functional teams to create integrated roadmaps, prioritize development, define metrics and key results and deliver scalable, resilient and quality Data Products.
- Lead end-to-end product delivery including intake, dependency management, release management, and product performance reporting, while escalating blockers or opportunities to improve efficiencies.
- Effectively manages timelines and dependencies while monitoring blockers, ensuring adequate resourcing, and liaising with stakeholders and functional partners.
- Deliver best in class data products while tracking usage and consumption patterns.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 5+ years of Product management experience or equivalent expertise in product design, agile delivery, software engineering or a relevant domain area.
- Thrive at the intersection of data, product and business strategy - able to understand business intent, data and translate strategy into product requirements and development.
- Data analysis skills (e.g., SQL, Python, R) along with a high level understanding of technical patterns used to process, present, and consume data at scale. (e.g., relational databases, data storage formats, spark, graphQL)
- Framework driven approach to problem solving with ability to simplify technical complexity and drive well-educated business decisions across stakeholders.
- Exceptional at cross-team collaboration; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done.
- Experience in product or platform-wide release management, in addition to deployment processes and strategies.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Proficient knowledge of data analytics and machine learning.
- Experience in consulting or financial services.
- Basic understanding of types of transactional data in financial services.
