Job Summary & Responsibilities

Requirements:

  • 3+ Years Technical Sales Experience in relevant industry and Associate to Advanced level technical certification in a single domain.
  • 5+ years’ progressive experience as Technical consultant, Technical Specialist, System Engineer, or comparable position performing the duties of this position.
  • 5+ years’ hands-on Cisco experience with current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) a plus.
  • Candidates must have a successful track record in sales, preferably in the New Englad SLED market.
  • Experience supporting enterprise network environments with a focus in any of the following technologies: Infrastructure Modernization, Multi-Cloud Architecture, Security and Digital Transformation.
  • Strong sales consulting experience and the ability to partner with sales, engineering teams and OEMs.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% locally and to surrounding states.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, product demonstration, customer service, and presentation skills are required.
  • Industry certifications are desired (i.e. Cisco, VMware, AWS).
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Preferred locations: NY State, Mass, CT, Northern NJ

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $150,000.00 to $200,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

What will you be doing?

The Consulting Systems Engineer’s job focuses on solution-level decisions and analysis of their impact on the overall business goals and outcomes. Just like the architect in the construction industry creating a general blueprint of a future building, a person at this position must have a profound knowledge of available technologies to suggest the best solution according to the incoming requirements and existing environment. So, we can say that the product of a Consulting Systems Engineer’s job is the set of technological solutions and the strategy of their implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the customer’s technology and business environment as well as their enterprise specifics
  • Analyze and understand business and technical requirements
  • Establish collaboration framework and engage the correct WWT resources to support
  • Lead the technology selection to best support the customer
  • Provide project management support while maintaining alignment of solution development with customer and WWT
  • Create solution diagrams
  • Develop and Present Proposals
  • Develop Level of Effort and Statement of Work
  • Support related RFP responses
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships within internal stakeholders including sales as well and our customer base.
