Our New Business Intake Team is seeking an experienced Conflicts Analyst to join our team of dynamic, accomplished business professionals. A Conflicts Analyst is responsible for identifying and resolving conflict of interest issues with respect to new business and onboarding of both licensed and unlicensed professionals.  As a member of the Conflicts and Compliance Team, Conflicts Analysts work closely with the firm’s Ethics Committee, attorneys and other administration to facilitate resolution of complex conflicts of interest and business sensitivity issues related to all potential new business matters.

 

Successful candidates will work well under pressure, be self-motivated, effectively manage competing priorities and consistently deliver high quality work product. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist firm attorneys in identification and resolution of conflicts of interest; Coordinate receipt and documentation and preparation of engagement letters and client waivers and/or consents.
  • Meet with members of the Ethics Committee, the New Business Conflicts and Compliance Department’s Managing Director, Director, and Manager to identify conflicts of interest and receive final approval on permitting the firm to undertake new business.
  • Meet with members of the Executive Committee to identify and resolve conflicts of interest.
  • Prepare and implement screens/firewalls when required in connection with new business.
  • Assist with maintenance and update of the conflicts database.
  • Assist Manager with the training of Conflicts Analyst Assistants and Junior Conflicts Analysts.
  • Become proficient in understanding and utilization of conflicts database.
  • Assist the New Business Conflicts and Compliance Department with a wide range of research requests and other projects as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two (2)+ years of relevant conflicts experience
  • Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Elite database or comparable database experience preferred. 
  • Must have strong organizational, analytical, writing, and communication skills. 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

HOURS

  • Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including lunch hour, with flexibility for alternative scheduling and overtime as needed.

In Washington, D.C., the annualized salary range for this position is $74,000 to $87,000, in Denver, CO, the annualized salary range for this position is $67,000 to $80,000 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
