Position Summary

The Analyst, Conflicts conducts conflict of interest searches for all Davis Polk offices using iManage Conflicts Management (ICM).

Shift: 10:30 am - 6:30 pm PST

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conduct new business and incoming/lateral attorney conflict of interest searches for all offices

  • Review new matter conflicts requests for accuracy and obtain clarity on parties, roles, and description of the matter prior to processing

  • Understand firm matter types and search all relevant and necessary parties associated with a particular matter in the firm's conflicts database

  • Prepare database search terms and create conflicts reports for related parties, for all requests including high volume, bulk searches

  • Responsible for applying uniform criteria, standards, and procedures to run conflict reports

  • Perform corporate research to identify related parties

  • Assist with keeping all shared documents current and accurate

  • Update and maintain records within conflicts database

  • Collaborate with other members of the Conflicts team, Recruiting team, Human Resources team, and Office of the General Counsel

  • Perform special projects as required

  • Provide on-call coverage when assigned

Qualifications/Position Requirements

  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills, with an acute attention to detail

  • Strong organizational and researching skills

  • Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to communicate in a confident and professional manner with a variety of stakeholders, including partners and legal assistants

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team

  • Strong MS Office skills

  • An understanding of corporate business structures, corporate family trees and corporate affiliations

  • Experience with conflicts database software is a plus

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

  • Experience using a conflicts software program is a plus

Compensation

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 - $95,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Davis Polk offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
