About OnePay

OnePay is the consumer fintech trusted by millions of Americans to make money better.

Our financial system is broken. High fees, low rates, and too few ways to actually grow your money. We’re fixing it. And we’re moving fast.

We’re an all-in-one financial services platform that brings together banking, high-yield savings, credit cards, point-of-sale lending, investing, and crypto in one place. We also partner with employers, HCM providers, gig platforms, and others to deliver embedded financial services to millions of employees and frontline workers.

We’re backed by Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, and Ribbit Capital, one of fintech’s most respected investors, giving us rare scale, distribution, and the opportunity to build something truly category-defining.

But what really sets OnePay apart is how we move. Our customers don’t have time to wait… and neither do we. This place moves fast, and we’re looking for people who are:

  • Ready to run

  • Hungry and driven by urgency

  • Exceptional at what they do, with low ego

  • Comfortable operating in motion

The role

At OnePay, Compliance is baked into how we earn trust, build responsibly, and stand out in a crowded market. As our Marketing Compliance Manager, you’ll help shape how we tell our story safely and boldly. You won’t just review assets; you’ll help architect the systems, workflows, and tools that keep our teams fast, aligned, and confidently compliant as we grow. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing the processes and automation that allow our teams to ship confidently and responsibly as OnePay scales.

We’re looking for someone who lights up at the chance to build. When faced with ambiguity, you don’t wait for structure: you create it. You can map a messy process, streamline it, automate the repetitive parts, and uplevel how teams collaborate. You’re eager to experiment with a variety of tools and whatever comes next if it helps the business move smarter and faster.

What you’ll do:
  • Review marketing assets and strategies, offering practical guidance to Product and Marketing on applicable requirements

  • Review and approve marketing and advertising materials in a timely, daily workflow

  • Partner with bank stakeholders to develop compliant solutions that satisfy multiple requirements

  • Design, document, and refine controls and processes that scale a high-quality, compliant marketing function, including identifying opportunities for automation

  • Monitor marketing assets and claims to ensure OnePay continues to meet regulatory expectations

  • Provide day-to-day guidance on complex requests, driving consistent, compliant decision-making

  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and bank-partner teams to evidence OnePay’s compliance with applicable requirements

  • Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned

You bring
  • 5-10+ years of experience supporting and reviewing marketing assets for regulatory compliance in a bank or fintech environment

  • A collaborative, low-ego approach to your work: you enjoy working across teams and bring a sense of fun, curiosity, and positivity to solving tough problems together

  • Deep expertise in consumer financial protection requirements (Reg DD, Reg Z, fair lending, privacy, UDAAP, etc.) and experience training cross-functional partners

  • A builder’s mindset: you create structure where none exists, improve what’s already working, and leverage tools and automation to drive speed and clarity

  • Comfort adapting quickly to platforms like Coda, Jira, Google Workspace, and new technologies as they arrive

  • Excellent communication skills: you’re able to translate complex concepts and find creative solutions for teams with varied levels of regulatory familiarity

  • Experience guiding Product and Marketing teams toward high-quality, consistent, compliant outcomes

  • A bias toward action and comfort operating in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of FINRA and SEC advertising/marketing rules is a plus

  • FINRA Series 7 and/or Series 24 is a plus

Standard Interview Process
  • Initial Interview with Talent Partner

  • Technical or Hiring Manager Interview

  • Team Interview

  • Executive Interview

  • Offer!

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
