About Delos Insurance Solutions

Delos is a technology-forward insurance company focused on the Excess & Surplus (E&S) market.  We’re reimagining specialty insurance by leveraging automation and data to underwrite complex risks efficiently.  As we scale into additional states, we are strengthening our compliance infrastructure to ensure operational excellence and continuous regulatory alignment.

Position Overview
We’re looking for a highly detail-oriented Compliance Analyst who is excited to take an active role in E&S compliance operations.  You’ll assist with regulatory filings, surplus lines documentation, licensing oversight, and compliance reporting - all while developing deep expertise in E&S regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with the Compliance Manager and cross-functional partners to support the delivery of compliant, accurate, and timely business operations.

* In support of career development and team continuity, internal candidates must have a minimum of nine (9) months in their current role to be eligible for consideration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily compliance activities for E&S insurance operations.
  • Prepare, submit, and reconcile surplus lines filings - including work performed through the Surplus Lines Association of California (SLAC) portal, adhering to strict deadlines, validation requirements, and follow-up expectations.
  • Maintain surplus lines reporting accuracy through proactive documentation checks and timely corrections.
  • Support licensing workflows, including tracking renewals, appointments, and submission requirements.
  • Assist with Department of Insurance complaint research, including gathering policy and underwriting documentation, tracing timelines, and occasionally interviewing retail agents to determine facts.
  • Monitor regulatory communications and assist in implementing updates across internal functions.
  • Maintain compliance records, dashboards, and audit-ready documentation within internal platforms.
  • Collaborate on process improvement, workflow automation, and compliance controls.
  • Utilize tools such as InsuranceNow, HubSpot, AgentSync, and proprietary Delos systems.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of insurance compliance or operational experience - surplus lines exposure strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SLAC filing timelines, portal navigation, reporting procedures, or demonstrated eagerness to learn quickly.
  • Demonstrated accuracy in regulatory submissions and high attention to detail.
  • Strong research and investigative skills with ability to synthesize facts clearly.
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and respond quickly when regulatory timing is critical.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly when interacting with agents and internal teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment using modern collaboration tools.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary plus equity stock options
  • Flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States
  • Unlimited PTO, including sick leave and company holidays
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance (25% paid by employee, 75% covered by Delos including dependents)
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Professional development opportunities and tuition assistance
