Compliance Analyst

Weiss Asset Management (WAM), a Boston-based investment firm, is seeking a Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance team. The ideal candidate will be motivated, detail-oriented, and a reliable team player with a “no job too small” attitude. Strong written and verbal communication skills, Excel proficiency, and a process improvement mindset are essential. While this position will focus on regulatory compliance, a successful candidate should be eager to learn and support the entire team.

2-4 years of compliance or operations experience in the financial services industry is required.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file shareholder disclosures and regulatory filings across global jurisdictions, including the SEC, NFA, SFC, and other regulators.

• Monitor employee compliance processes, including pre-clearances, certifications, and conflict checks, and assist with managing the firm’s restricted list.

• Review forensic reports and analyze exceptions to identify potential issues, investigate root causes, and support process improvements.

• Evaluate the firm’s use of expert networks, vendors, and third-party data for compliance with internal standards.

• Respond to issuer and company requests, and help with maintaining policies and procedures related to information barriers and regulatory requirements
