Weiss Asset Management (WAM), a Boston-based investment firm, is seeking a Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance team. The ideal candidate will be motivated, detail-oriented, and a reliable team player with a “no job too small” attitude. Strong written and verbal communication skills, Excel proficiency, and a process improvement mindset are essential. While this position will focus on regulatory compliance, a successful candidate should be eager to learn and support the entire team.
2-4 years of compliance or operations experience in the financial services industry is required.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and file shareholder disclosures and regulatory filings across global jurisdictions, including the SEC, NFA, SFC, and other regulators.
Monitor employee compliance processes, including pre-clearances, certifications, and conflict checks, and assist with managing the firm’s restricted list.
Review forensic reports and analyze exceptions to identify potential issues, investigate root causes, and support process improvements.
Evaluate the firm’s use of expert networks, vendors, and third-party data for compliance with internal standards.
Respond to issuer and company requests, and help with maintaining policies and procedures related to information barriers and regulatory requirements
