JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Compliance Analyst at Empower, you’ll be integral to ensuring our products, processes, and customer interactions meet the highest regulatory and compliance standards. This role involves collaborating across teams and contributing to key compliance functions, including complaints management, marketing reviews, compliance issue management, audit requests, and more. Your attention to detail, proactive approach, and analytical mind will help Empower build trust with our customers and partners while fostering an innovative culture of compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complaints Management:

    • Review complaints received by Customer Support and identify systemic issues that lead to complaints. 

    • Provide actionable feedback to internal teams like Customer Support and Product, and relevant trend analysis to Empower’s Leadership Team.

    • Following complaint investigation, draft clear, concise responses to regulatory complaints.

    Marketing Compliance:

    • Review marketing materials to ensure adherence to Empower’s internal standards. 

    • Provide ongoing guidance to Empower’s Marketing team to maintain clarity and consistency.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to escalate and resolve compliance concerns.

    Compliance Issue Management:

    • Identify compliance issues raised by Product, Engineering, and Customer Support teams.

    • Document detailed issue description, root cause, corrective action, and status updates for issues. 

    • Support the execution of Empower’s Issue Management Program.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of compliance or related experience in financial services or fintech.

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build relationships across teams.

  • Self-starter mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Bonus: Data analysis, experience in preparing legal/compliance correspondence, knowledge of financial compliance marketing regulations.

Empower is a remote-first company. We drive connectivity through regular company offsites. Travel for company offsites is expected at a minimum 2 times a year.
