Role Description:

The Compensation Manager is responsible for overseeing compensation functions, delivering compensation planning, program administration, and continuous improvement to compensation processes supporting the broad-based population across all company functions. Compensation programs include fixed compensation, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives across a global employee population. This role also manages the benchmarking processes through survey participation and vendor management, maintaining our job catalog, managing compensation structures, and performing market pricing for roles. This role reports to the Senior Director, Total Rewards & HR Systems. 

What you'll do:

  • Manage the global job catalog by ensuring adequate job documentation and evaluating new roles.  
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, talent, and business leaders by providing compensation resources, training, and consulting as needed.  
  • Develop and/or participate in compensation and benefits surveys to collect and analyze competitive rewards information to determine a company's competitive position.   
  • Review proposed compensation adjustments and/or offers for conformance to established guidelines, policies and practices.   
  • Review requests for new or revised classifications to determine appropriate salary grade assignment and job evaluation.   
  • Formulate recommendations regarding development of company salary structure, FLSA exemptions, job revisions and organizational structures.   
  • Review existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommend appropriate courses of action.   
  • Manage our annual global salary structure review, merit compensation review cycles, and incentive compensation review cycles.  
  • Help support sales compensation programs through design, modeling, documentation, analysis and administration 
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary. 

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.  
  • Comfortable working in a complex operating environment under ambiguous situations.  
  • Understanding of job evaluation methodology.  
  • Advanced skills with excel, analysis/statistics, presentation/proposals.  
  • Direct experience managing compensation survey participation and vendor relationships.  
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification, preferred.

ShipBob believes in transparency while providing a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance approach. We are targeting a salary range of $111,544 - $148,725 for this role. The full base pay range for this position in our compensation architecture is $111,544 - $185,906. In addition to base salary, this role includes the opportunity to be eligible for participation in the Company's discretionary bonus plan based on Company's plans and in accordance with Company’s policies.
