The Opportunity
We are seeking a Contract Compensation Manager to support Amylyx through a period of growth. In this role, you will work closely with Talent Acquisition and the Total Rewards team to benchmark roles, evaluate job descriptions, and ensure competitive, equitable, and consistent offers. Responsibilities
Core Focus Areas
- Partner closely with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to benchmark new and evolving roles, validate leveling, and ensure job descriptions align with internal frameworks and external market data
- Provide compensation insights to TA and hiring managers, helping shape hiring strategies for new or hard‑to‑fill roles
- Advise TA on offer negotiation strategies to ensure consistency, fairness, and timely closings
- Partner with HR colleagues to align new roles to our leveling framework and ensure consistency across functions
- Support offer development, ensuring all offers reflect our compensation philosophy, internal equity, and compliance with pay standards
- Conduct market pricing using Radford and other survey data; prepare clear, well‑supported recommendations
- Maintain internal equity across teams and functions, analyzing trends, compression risks, and leveling consistency
Operational & Analytical Support
- Build and maintain Excel-based analytical tools to support fast, accurate offer modeling.
- Perform ad-hoc compensation analyses to support business decisions, including pay ranges, job mapping, and compensation health metrics
- Maintain a library of market data, benchmarks, and survey inputs to support hiring needs.
- Enhance existing tools, templates, and job benchmarking resources to enable TA to work more efficiently
- Develop quick‑reference guides or job-matching tools to speed up pricing and leveling
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a subject matter expert on compensation practices for TA, HRBPs, and business leaders.
- Advise on compensation process improvements, including opportunities to streamline offer workflows, enhance data quality, and improve stakeholder experience.
- Contribute to broader Total Rewards and HR projects as needed
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of compensation experience in biotech, pharma, high-growth tech or similar dynamic environments
- Preference for candidates with experience in pre‑commercial biotech, ideally with exposure to scaling compensation practices in advance of commercial launch
- Prior experience with Radford/AON and other relevant market surveys
- Exceptional analytical skills and expert‑level Excel proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to producing accurate and thorough, market‑aligned analyses
- Ability to manage sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality
- Highly resourceful, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear guidance for non‑comp stakeholders
- Experience with equity analysis and benefits is a plus
Work Location and Condition
- At Amylyx, we proudly support remote work opportunities within the United States. However, due to business considerations candidates must be able to attend meetings at our office in Cambridge, MA on a regular basis. Preference will be given to candidates who reside in the New England region and can be in person on an as needed basis.
- When working remotely, you must have access to a work setting which enables meeting all requirements of the role (including privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to video conference, etc.) at your remote location.

The hourly pay range posted below represents our good faith estimate of compensation for this role, based on market data and internal benchmarks. The final offer may vary depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as considerations of internal equity.
