POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Community Relations Assistant will provide administrative support to the Community Relations department. The person in this role will also be responsible for assisting members of the department with planning and executing ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.  This position will last through the calendar year.


The hourly rate for this position is $17.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Track and respond to all Community Relations (CR) correspondence i.e. phone lines, USPS, e-mail, and voicemails.
  • Address and fulfill all in-kind donation requests while maintaining an updated inventory of autographed items.
  • Assist with game day and non-game day CR field events, including coordinating logistics, securing and managing equipment, working with non-profit organizations on their needs and helping to promote the events.
  • Welcome community groups to the park and lead guided tours.
  • Assist with community tickets distribution.
  • Tracking all photos from CR events and assisting with storytelling for annual report.
  • Assist with written projects (player outreach nominations, newsletters, etc.).

CHARACTERISTICS / QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong commitment to providing a high level of customer service.
    • Experience with Canva, graphic design and AI tools is strongly preferred.
    • Possess an uncompromised ability to protect the confidentiality/privacy of others, company documents and records.
    •  Strong oral and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to multitask, problem-solve and manage unanticipated situations.
    • Prior work experience within fast-paced, unstructured and frequently changing environments.
    • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and phone demeanor.
    • Ability to contribute to and build a balanced, productive work environment with positive relationships, and follow through on duties as assigned.
    • Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends when needed.
