Our Opportunity:

We are searching for a dynamic, resourceful, and highly organized Communications & Brand Co-op Student to join our team and provide essential support across all facets of brand strategy, public relations, social media and internal communication.

This pivotal role requires a self-starter mentality, blending organizational skills with a keen interest in marketing and brand execution. As a key support member, you will be instrumental in ensuring consistency across our earned media, internal messaging, and social channels, while gaining hands-on experience in how a modern brand and communications function operates. You will be expected to jump in, help drive efficiency, and inject enthusiasm into every task.

You’ll Spend Your Time:
  • Coordinating Public Relations Efforts: Serving as a point of contact for routine tasks with our external PR agency and helping to prepare internal reports on media program performance.

  • Supporting Internal Communications: Drafting, editing, and scheduling internal announcements, ensuring clarity and consistency in company-wide messaging, and helping to manage internal communication channels (e.g., intranet, newsletters).

  • Managing Social Media Coordination: Supporting the social media manager by gathering assets, occasionally scheduling posts across platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, X, Instagram), responding to basic comments/inquiries, and helping track platform engagement.

  • Executing Campaign Support: Assisting the team with gathering creative assets, managing vendor communication, tracking campaign deliverables, and compiling data for post-campaign analysis.

Supporting Team Operations and Organization: Handling essential administrative and organizational tasks, including managing shared drives, ensuring project files are up-to-date, coordinating team meetings and materials, and assisting with meeting follow-up and documentation to maintain team efficiency.

What You’ll Need:
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program (or equivalent) focusing on Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.

  • Demonstrable interest in brand storytelling, media relations, and the modern communications landscape.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable editing and proofreading content for clarity and accuracy.

  • A strong understanding of major social media platforms from a professional/brand perspective.

  • High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple small projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite).

We’d Be Lucky if You:
  • Have previous experience with PR coordination or social media management tools (e.g., Meltwater, Cision, Sprout Social).

  • Possess a basic familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Figma) or a strong visual eye for effective communication layouts.

  • Are proactive in suggesting new ideas for content, internal engagement, or ways to enhance our brand presence.

We care deeply about the warm, inclusive environment we’ve created and we value diversity – we welcome applications from those typically underrepresented in tech. If you like the sound of this role but are not totally sure whether you’re the right person, do apply anyway!
