Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive corporate communications strategy that drives MetLife Mexico's business priorities, strengthens brand reputation, and builds trust among employees, the sales force, media, and other external stakeholders.
- Create clear, relevant, and consistent narratives and content that bring MetLife's purpose, strategy, and value proposition to life across internal and external channels, including leadership communications, media content, and owned channels.
- Oversee internal and external communication programs, including employee communications, public relations, media relations, and thought leadership, ensuring alignment with regional and global guidelines.
- Manage a high-performing communications team and external partners (agencies), establishing clear priorities, governance models, and KPIs to ensure measurable impact on reputation, engagement, and media performance.
- Develop proactive public relations and media strategies that increase MetLife Mexico's visibility, strengthen leadership credibility, and position the company as a trusted voice in protection, financial inclusion, and customer-centered innovation.
- Work closely with Marketing, Human Resources, Business and Product teams, the Sales organization, Sustainability, MetLife Foundation, Legal, and Regional and Global Communications teams to deliver integrated, timely, and effective communications that enable business growth and transformation.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading corporate communications, public relations, internal communications, and reputation management in complex organizations, preferably in global companies or highly regulated industries.
- Experience with media monitoring tools, reputation analysis, KPI dashboards, and executive reporting, using insights to make strategic decisions, optimize corporate narratives, and present impactful results to senior leadership.
- Content management experience to plan, execute, and optimize internal and external communications, ensuring consistency, reach, and relevance across multiple audiences.
- Communications measurement and analytics:
Strong command of performance measurement frameworks and KPIs such as Share of Voice, media coverage quality, sentiment analysis, internal engagement, and owned-channel performance to evaluate impact, optimize strategies, and report results to senior leadership. - Advanced English proficiency.
