Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven Offline Partnerships Manager to join our Strategic Partnerships team in London. You will be part of a tribe that is passionate about thinking differently and getting things done.

This is a new role within a Global team and is suited to someone who loves a challenge, can own strategy and execution, test like mad and turn learnings and insights into a killer growth plan. Moving at a rapid pace does not scare you. You are an organised, collaborative worker and can solve tough problems fast.

You will find a way to drive new customer growth via in-person events (think expat fairs, travel shows and pop up stores), community sponsorships and other offline partnerships that position Wise as the best financial solution for communities with international money needs.

We are looking for someone to come in and hit the ground running. Someone to build a new strategy and commercial framework for offline partnerships. Someone to work closely with internal marketing teams (e.g. brand, PR, social, regional) to ensure this new plan fits within our regional marketing strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Offline, Event & Sponsorship Strategy: Define, develop, and execute a global growth strategy leveraging in-person events, community sponsorships and other offline partnerships to drive significant customer acquisition

  • End-to-End Partner & Event Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of offline partnerships and events from initial conception and planning through to on-site execution and post-event analysis

  • Opportunity Development: Work with other teams to identify, secure, and activate strategic sponsorships and offline partnerships that align with Wise's objectives and reach target audiences effectively

  • Commercial Deal Structuring & Execution: Create new commercial frameworks for offline/events/community partnerships and structure, negotiate and execute a wide range of commercial agreements that drive value for Wise

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely and collaboratively with other marketing teams to integrate offline partnerships into broader regional marketing plans and contribute to brand marketing campaigns

  • Performance Analysis & Reporting: Use strong analytical skills to identify performance trends, opportunities, and challenges within offline activities, effectively translating insights into strategy

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage a small team (2+), providing guidance and support on scaling projects

  • Autonomous Planning & Execution: Work independently to plan, validate, and execute ideas, taking ownership and managing projects end-to-end

  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with external speakers, vendors, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful event and partnership execution

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
