We’re looking for a Commercial Legal Counsel to join our growing legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior legal professional to contribute to impactful, international technology transactions and grow their in-house legal career in a fast-paced, mission-driven company.

You’ll join a lean and collaborative legal team that supports the company’s growth across multiple jurisdictions, product lines, and partnership channels.

 

What you'll do

As Commercial Legal Counsel, you'll work closely with the Group Legal Counsel and cross-functional teams to:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including:
    • On-premises and SaaS software license agreements
    • Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
    • Reseller, referral, and technology partner agreements
  • Maintain and develop contract templates and playbooks, and the development of scalable contract frameworks
  • Support the continuous improvement of contract processes and governance and assist in maintaining and evolving our contract lifecycle processes and internal playbooks
  • Contribute to corporate housekeeping tasks (e.g., subsidiary governance, inventory, internal approvals)
  • Support cross-border legal matters and risk assessments as needed

 

What we're looking for

  • You have a legal background, whether through a US law degree, international legal education, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, ideally in a law firm or in-house legal department supporting technology or software clients
  • Solid understanding of software licensing (SaaS and on-prem) and basic commercial contract principles
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently and remotely, but also enjoys being part of a collaborative team
  • You’re a clear communicator who can explain legal risks in a practical, business-oriented way
  • You enjoy working with a diverse group of colleagues—from engineers and product teams to commercial and executive stakeholders
  • You’re proactive, curious, and organized, with a desire to grow in a legal team that values trust and autonomy
  • You’re based in the U.S., with availability to work East Coast hours if remote (Denver hybrid preferred)

 

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience with international commercial contracts or clients
  • Familiarity with Intellectual Property Rights and/or data privacy regulations
  • Interest in or exposure to geospatial technologies or software development.
