Overview


At Instacart, our Ads team aims to connect consumers with the brands they love. As a Commercial Enablement Manager on the Commercial Enablement team, you will play a critical role in driving sales success through strategic learning programming & content design that achieves mastery for partner facing teams.


About the Role


As we continue to evolve and expand our Instacart Ads Ecosystem, we are hiring a Commercial Enablement Manager specializing in our Off-Platform Ads suite. This individual will manage the enablement strategy and ongoing training development for the Off-Platform sales team. They will be responsible for creating training requirement documentation and sales collateral, including training materials that align with our sales methodology.


In this highly cross-functional role, the manager will collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Product Management, Ads Solutions Strategy, and Sales teams. Together, they will ensure all key pillars of enablement—content, training, narrative creation, and sales process and methodology—are addressed to support selling our products off-platform.


About the Team


The Commercial Enablement Team is part of the Commercial Excellence organization, which focuses on strategic enablement through building processes, motions & tools for the commercial businesses at Instacart. Its mission is to provide Instacart partners with the insights and capabilities needed to exceed their business objectives. The Enablement team supports the Ads and Retail Sales & Account Management teams by collaborating closely with Marketing, Product, and Measurement Science to develop internal competency models and learning materials..

About the Job 

  • Establish deeply collaborative working relationships with our Off-Platform sales team and maintain ongoing discovery with its leadership & individual contributors. 
  • Foster cross-functional alignment among product, product marketing, and internal strategy teams to ensure the sales organization is consistently equipped with cohesive, future-ready messaging for Instacart Ads.
  • Design and execute comprehensive product enablement frameworks, including interactive live training for large group audiences, office hours, and the creation of dynamic, digestible content resources.
  • Develop scalable strategies to capture and disseminate best practices across product and sales teams, focusing on refined product narratives, objection handling, storytelling, FAQ development, and tool utilization.
  • Advocate for the sales perspective in both go-to-market strategies and feature development, working within a feedback loop that informs and enhances Instacart Ads offerings.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to assess enablement program performance and continuously refine processes for greater impact and alignment with long-term organizational goals.

About You

Minimum Qualifications


  • 4+ years of experience working with fast paced, high volume, high impact sales or account management teams within an advertising platform, agency or organization
  • 4+ years experience in an Enablement, L&D, PMM, Ad Sales, Account Management, Strategy or operations role
  • Thorough understanding & experience with buying / selling digital advertising as part of a retail media network 
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Experience with digital advertising 
  • Strong project / program management skills
  • Some technical knowledge of programmatic advertising (including DSP’s (demand side platform), SSP’s (supply side platform), DMP’s (data management platform) and ad exchanges

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong experience using G suite tools, sheets and slides
  • Experience teaching or training large group audiences
  • Experience working with consumer packaged goods companies or grocery retailers
  • Experience working with data (measuring inputs / outputs; building sheets and  program trackers)
  • Experience working with technical & non-technical stakeholders
