Your Role:

The Billing Analyst plays a crucial role within the Mobilitas Billing & Payments Team, providing comprehensive support in all aspects of transaction processing. This position requires efficient collection and processing of data to generate accurate and timely invoices, while maintaining excellent communication both internally and externally. The Billing Analyst will gain valuable knowledge of property and casualty operations, billing and payment procedures, and company policies by adhering to established guidelines. Collaboration with various Mobilitas teams and close interaction with broker resources are essential components of this role. Reporting directly to the Mobilitas Billing Manager, this position offers an opportunity to contribute to the seamless functioning of the billing department.

Your Work:

  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline billing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. This could involve implementing billing software or developing standardized templates for invoices.

  • Work with stakeholders to establish KPIs for the billing and payment department. This will help measure performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Utilize your expertise in billing analytics to analyze data and generate reports that provide insights into billing trends, customer behavior, and potential revenue opportunities. This will help inform decision-making and drive business growth.

  • Continuously improve the billing and payment experience for Mobilitas customers. This could involve implementing self-service options, providing proactive communication about billing changes, and offering personalized support to address customer concerns.

  • Take the initiative to identify areas for process improvement within the billing and payment department. This could involve conducting regular audits, seeking feedback from stakeholders, and implementing changes to optimize efficiency and accuracy.

  • Share your knowledge and expertise with junior staff members to help them develop their skills and improve their performance. This could involve providing training sessions, offering guidance on complex billing issues, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

  • Keep yourself informed about the latest trends and best practices in billing and payment processes. This will help you stay ahead of the curve and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Required Experience, Education and Skills:

  • 4+ years supporting billing and invoice activities.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of Commercial insurance and operations.

  • Experience working with sensitive customer information and data management procedures.

  • Knowledge of the Property and Casualty invoicing process.

  • Familiarity with the Insurance industry.

  • Knowledge of basic billing and accounting concepts.

  • Strong attention and focus on detail.

  • Communication and business writing skills.

  • Analytical and organizational skills.

  • Command of Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas.

The national average salary range for this position is $74,250.00 – $82,500.00 annually. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $66,870.00 – $99,000.00 annually. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 8% of eligible pay.
