Role Description
Software Engineers apply engineering concepts and principles to software development; for the purposes of providing business solutions. They design, build, install, and maintain these applications/programs. Software Engineers use deductive reasoning to gather and interpret business requirements; supplied by product managers, business stakeholders, and other engineers.
In addition to the skillset, the Software Engineer bears the joint responsibility for code-base maintenance. Often this involves making informed decisions about refactoring, tech debt, and "greenfield" engineering.
Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Data Modeling are desired, but by no means required.

Responsibilities & Duties
- Exposure / Experience designing, building and debugging applications
- Exposure / Experience with Secure SDLC • Proficient with NodeJS + Express and/or Python + Flask
- Exposure / Experience using Postgres, Athena/PrestoDB, or Amazon Redshift
- Exposure / Experience with cloud environments to include Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or Microsoft Azure
- A basic understanding of security operations and risk
Qualifications
- 6mos - 2 years of experience in a Software Engineering or Software Development role
- Familiarity with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, Mercurial, or Subversion)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
- Effective communicator and enthusiastic collaborator
- Exposure to common enterprise programming languages such as JavaScript, Golang, Python, C++, Java, C#, F#, etc.
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university
- Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028)
- Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)
- Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026
- Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
- Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
