Position Summary & Responsibilities

As a forward-thinking company, we are shaping the future of higher education and seeking talented individuals with experience in the Ellucian Colleague Finance module. Are you a seasoned professional with multiple years of college or university experience in Finance leadership or as a Consultant working directly with the Ellucian Colleague Finance module? In this role, you will be working with clients to implement and optimize Colleague. Your expertise in Colleague, finance, business processes, and best practices will drive successful outcomes for our clients. SIG employees work remotely in the US.

  • Provide Ellucian Colleague ERP implementation support such as training, functional consulting, and technical support.
  • Analyze current business processes related to general ledger, budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting. Recommend process improvements and leverage technological tools for greater efficiency.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including finance office personnel, to understand their requirements, challenges, and objectives. Collaborate on solutions that align with institutional financial policies and goals.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and advancements in Ellucian Colleague and finance technology. Propose and implement continuous improvements to optimize the utilization of the Colleague Finance module.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery within defined timelines.
  • Assist in testing and implementation of financial software updates and system upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot functional and technical issues within the Colleague Finance module and support data integrity efforts.
  • Provide expertise in using Colleague to improve and automate business processes within the finance office at a college or university.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to system usage, configuration, and data integrity.
  • Provide end-user training and support documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 or more years working within the Higher Education Industry.
  • 5 or more years of experience working with Ellucian Colleague, demonstrating advanced user proficiency.
  • Experience implementing the Colleague Finance module.
  • Strong knowledge of financial operations and regulations, including general accounting, budgeting, and purchasing within the higher education industry.
  • Experience developing reports to support financial operations, including budget reports, ledger reconciliation, and expenditure analysis.
  • Experience in a consulting capacity, focusing on enhancing business processes and demonstrated success in creating efficiency.
  • Ability to troubleshoot functional issues within Colleague and communicate user requirements to the technical support team.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a proven customer service approach.
  • Highly self-directed with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing project-based work.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant.

Pay and Benefits

  • The salary range is $90,000 -$120,000 plus bonus

The listed salary range for this position is indicative and subject to adjustment based on the candidate's unique skills and location. Final compensation will be determined through mutual agreement between the successful candidate and SIG.
