Job Summary:
The CMX Project Manager specializes in planning, managing, and executing project campaigns, and drives process excellence, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency across the CMX department. This role turns campaign vision into reality, while identifying all the tasks that need to be completed within a project, and strategically assign them and follow-up through completion to meet deadlines and budgets. This role ensures CMX teams operate with clarity, alignment, and streamlined workflows by leading cross functional planning, process optimization, and performance tracking. The project manager serves as a key connector across leadership and stakeholders keeping them updated on progress and performance, alignment to KPIs, and enabling CMX to deliver work more effectively, consistently, and strategically. This position requires a unique blend of interpersonal skill and communication acumen, an ability to multitask while retaining attention to detail, streamline and optimize workflows across teams, and a strong strategic and organizational sense to ensure overlapping timelines and requirements do not hinder progress. To be successful, this person should have strong leadership, strategic planning, project management, analytical, interpersonal, and decision-making skills, as well as a keen attention to detail and process excellence.

 


Essential Functions: 

  • The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.  
  • Project Management:
    Lead cross-functional project planning, execution, and delivery for high-visibility, strategic initiatives.
    Create and manage project plans, including milestones and deadlines, tasks, responsible parties, and status updates. Ensure they are adhered to and teams have awareness of what’s needed to be accomplished when.
    Manage project campaign budgets and monitor progress through campaign completion.
    Manage and supervise projects from beginning to end, ensuring on-time execution.
    Establish and maintain project management standards, templates, and best practices.
  • Process Excellence & Workflow Optimization:
    Recommend strategies to increase campaign performance and process improvements.
    Develop and maintain standardized operational processes, SOPS, and governance frameworks.
    Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
    Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the company, its products, and its client base to implement effective project support.
  • Performance Measurement & Reporting:
    Develop and maintain CMX dashboards, KPI tracking, and performance reporting.
    Partner with CMX leaders to define operational metrics and success measures.
    Produce timely leadership and stakeholder presentations/reports for project updates.
    Support annual planning and operational reporting cycles.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration:
    Partner with CMX leaders to ensure alignment on priorities and operational needs.
    Facilitate collaboration across CMS teams to improve coordination and reduce duplication.
    Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    Collaborate with an agency to develop content as needed.
    Support CMX Operations in operational planning and execution.
     

Required Work Experience:
5+ years related work experience. Experience Details: In marketing or communications operations, print production and or creative operations, project management, process improvement 
Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience 
Project management and/or campaign execution and implementation 
Experience with Project Management theory, tools, and best practices. 
Experience with process improvement or similar methodologies. 
Possesses excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and leadership skills. 
Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational, prioritization, time management, and decision-making skills. 
Strong analytical skills. 
A love for strategizing and finding creative ways to help us achieve our goals. 
Experience working in a fast-paced environment. 
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment. 
Technically capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to improve processes. 
Demonstrated ability to influence and coordinate relationships within matrixed teams. 
Passionate about marketing and communications technologies and demonstrate strong knowledge on marketing communications technology platforms (marketing/communication automation, digital marketing tools) 
Demonstrated strategic thinking and implementation skills; proven analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable plans. 
Demonstrated success in the ability to lead multiple projects and cross-functional teams. 
Motivated, execution-oriented, high-performance individual with strong process and organizational capabilities and a desire to improve processes. 
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.

General Physical Demands:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally. 
 

Physical/Environmental Activities:
Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences). Occasionally

To support your financial wellbeing, we offer competitive pay as well as opportunities for incentive or commission compensation. We also conduct regular annual reviews with pay for performance considerations for base pay increases. 
Annualized Salary Range: $77,600 - $126,100
Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $77,600 - $97,000
Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
