We are looking for a Cloud Virtualization Engineer who will be responsible for design, deployment and management of server infrastructure platforms hosted on Azure, VMware, and AWS  The role will focus primarily on the migration of on-prem Windows and Unix VMs to Azure as well as alternative on-prem hypervisors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, a proven track record of maintaining high availability and performance, familiarity with cybersecurity standards, and experience in managing systems in a highly critical, regulated environment. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud hosting infrastructure related to IaaS server hosting. 

  • Design, build, and maintain on-prem hypervisor estate. 

  • Develop and execute on-prem to cloud VM migration strategies. 

  • Evaluate, design and deploy alternate on-prem hypervisor platforms (Hyper-V / Nutanix / Azurestack etc.) 

  • Develop and maintain documentation related to configurations, processes, and service records. 

  • Develop and execute scripts for automation of tasks, system management, and troubleshooting. 

  • Build Terraform based pipelines for IaaS deployment in Azure and AWS. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Virtualization and Cloud engineering. 

  • Proficiency with continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Azure ADO Pipelines and Terraform. 

  • Proficiency with multiple on-prem hypervisor technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Azurestack, Nutanix, XenServer) 

  • Experience with on-prem to cloud migration technologies e.g. Azure Migrate 

  • Working knowledge of networking / firewalls 

  • Experience with Splunk or similar data analysis tools 

  • Knowledge of ITIL practices, experience in inventory management, familiarity with NIST cybersecurity standards, and experience in managing system licensing. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

  • Agile project delivery

Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
