About this role:As a customer-facing Cloud Solutions Architect (Infrastructure), you will join our field team to deliver world-class technical solutions to customer and prospect business problems. In this role, you’ll engage with a diverse set of use cases where Apache Airflow plays a central role in the overall solution architecture. Your work will directly enable customers to scale their operations and achieve their goals by adopting Astronomer’s products.
This role is pre-sales–oriented and will involve some travel to support business and customer engagements.
You will support customers primarily in the East Coast time zone. Comfort and flexibility with working and traveling within this time zone are essential to ensure effective collaboration and drive customer success.

Guide our largest and most complex customers in their Apache Airflow journeys.
Act as the core interface between the Customer, Sales, and Product to ensure that the broader solution around the platform is solving pain points and bringing value to customers.
4+ years of experience in a data infrastructure role or equivalent role.
Strong Kubernetes experience (GKE/EKS/AKS or OpenShift preferred).
Proficiency in Python/Go.
Good understanding of network complexities and architectures.
Versatile Terminal and CLI user, as this will be a hands-on role, and frequently without access to a GUI.
Experience setting up and troubleshooting distributed systems.
Experience with complex SaaS infrastructure operating at scale.
Experience with at least one major cloud provider API/tooling.
Cloud-native data architecture experience.
Strong customer-facing skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills - should be able to explain complex technical issues to non-technical folks succinctly.
1+ year in a customer-facing role.
Prior experience using or administering Apache Airflow, Autosys, UC4, Temporal, Dagster, or Prefect.
Enterprise data experience with or in regulated environments.
Experience with scripting/automation, specifically infra (Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
Experience with ElasticSearch/Prometheus/Vault.
The estimated total compensation for this role ranges from $200,000 - $240,000, along with an equity component. This range is merely an estimate, and the width of the range reflects willingness to consider candidates with broad prior seniority. Actual compensation may deviate from this range based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
