Seeking a skilled Kubernetes Administrator and Application Developer for contract work, responsible for deploying, managing Kubernetes applications, and cluster administration.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Kubernetes Administrator and Application Developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal
candidate will have hands-on experience building cloud-native Kubernetes applications and administration of Kubernetes clusters, particularly with RH OpenShift, in bare-metal environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with application development teams to deploy, scale, and manage cloud-native applications
- Administer and maintain Kubernetes clusters on bare metal and OpenShift platforms.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cluster performance and reliability.
- Automate operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Helm).
- Ensure security best practices and compliance standards within the clusters.
Qualifications:
- Requires minimum 5 years job related work experience in excess of degree requirements
- Bachelor's Degree : Computer Science or related field (Required)
- Or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required
Required Skills:
- Proven experience developing and deploying cloud-native Kubernetes applications.
- Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation.
- Linux administration skills (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Hands-on experience administering Kubernetes clusters (bare metal and/or public cloud environments).
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (preferred).
Solid understanding of networking, storage, and security within Kubernetes
