As a Cloud Engineer III (CEIII) you will provide engineering and transformation expertise to modernize the environment. You will be responsible for solutions design of the modernization cloud environment. Working with a team to plan, review requirements, design, and develop the most optimal and secure cloud-based solutions. Engineer must have exceptional problem-solving skills and have a greater understanding of the code base to identify and solve issues before an issue becomes systematic. The engineer must stay current with best practices, industry standards, and make recommendations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in in Cloud Engineering services and support of Cloud migrations & architecture, Active Directory, Cloud Security, and Cloud Application migrations
- Perform reviews of cloud migration, adoption initiatives, Iaas, Paas, and cloud native solutions enablement
- Define requirements for integrations
- Deliver Cloud Solutions across multiple environments to meet business needs
- Provide Cloud user management, security, capacity, monitoring and configuring app development tools
- Performs root cause analysis and improves current infrastructure solutions
- Responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing and operating cloud infrastructure and integrated technologies through a lens of security, resiliency and scalability, within a hybrid IT environment
- Participate in existing and new infrastructure solution evaluations
- Cloud resource optimization including; Cloud design, provisioning, configuring, testing, and implementation
- Provide cloud solution engineering, design, migration, support for planned and unplanned outages
- Investigates and tests new cloud technologies to meet or exceed user expectations
- Provides systems metrics, root cause analysis and proactive monitoring
- Documents clearly all required procedures and configuration changes to production systems
Qualifications
- 3-5 years demonstrated Cloud Engineering experience
- Strong CI/CD, Containerization, and Fargate Experience
- Strong experience with configuration management
- Experience with root cause analysis and proactive monitoring required
- AWS Architect certification REQUIRED
- Security+ Certification or ability to obtain within a month of the start
- Must be able to pass DoD Background check and obtain PIV access card
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS Engineering, Computer Science, or Math) preferred; or equivalent years of professional experience preferred
