Our Opportunity:

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer II at our facility in Boston, MA to design, implement, test, and deploy solutions for Chewy’s hyperscale cloud Platform which underpins its path-to-purchase systems.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Deliver solutions that are simple, scalable, maintainable, and repeatable
  • Develop self-service solutions which empower internal customers to move rapidly while building on Chewy’s Platform
  • Take part in cloud readiness assessments, workshops, roadmap, and application modernization activities in a push towards a cloud-native service architecture
  • Create automated solutions to monitor and support our public cloud platform and our software development and release processes, with an emphasis on self-healing systems
  • Serve as a technical thought leader and Subject Matter Expert for our public cloud (AWS) adoption
  • Contribute to software engineering teams that design and build infrastructure automation and services in order to make operating a large-scale distributed system simple
  • Contribute to the creation of IaC standards. Partner with software development leadership to ensure that developers of software and systems collaborate effectively to achieve their objectives of reliability and scalability
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 3 day(s) per week

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunication Systems Management or a related field and 3 years of experience
  • Full term of experience must involve: Public Cloud infrastructure, specifically with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Configuration management and continuous deployment
  • Terraform and CloudFormation to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC); and collaborating with stakeholders in order to ensure development efforts align
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 3 day(s) per week
