The Closer will manage home equity investment transactions, ensuring accurate document preparation, communication with stakeholders, and compliance with industry regulations while providing excellent customer service to homeowners.
As a Closer at Splitero, you will play a pivotal role in successfully closing investments and fostering a positive experience for our homeowners. You’ll use your keen eye for accuracy to facilitate the final stages of home equity investment transactions, from reviewing documents to preparing disclosures. In this highly collaborative role, you’ll work with your teammates and third-party vendors to ensure an efficient and smooth closing for every homeowner you support.
About the Job
- Manage the closing process for home equity investment transactions, ensuring all necessary documents are accurately prepared.
- Serve as a point of contact for homeowners during the closing process, providing updates and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Communicate proactively with your production teammates, escrow agents, and title agents throughout the investment closing process.
- Coordinate with settlement agents to prepare final Closing Disclosures by ensuring all charges have been included, and tolerances for each section of the Closing Disclosure have been met.
- Work with title companies to organize notary appointments.
- Prepare a file for funding by reviewing executed documents for completeness.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the closing process.
The salary for this role is $90,000 per year, paid hourly.
About You
- 2+ years experience of operations experience in Financial Services, Real Estate, or Mortgage
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to navigate complex closing scenarios through problem-solving and decision-making
- Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service to homeowners and contributing to their satisfaction throughout the closing process
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to ensure meticulous documentation and process adherence.
- Communication skills that go beyond the basics, including active listening, understanding homeowner needs and responding appropriately, and communicating with empathy
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams, third-party vendors, and Homeowners
- In-depth knowledge of mortgage regulatory requirements and compliance standards (TRID, TILA, RESPA,REG Z) preferred
- Ability to work 8am - 5pm PST
