Position Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Prospect and cultivate new relationships with Financial Advisors through targeted outreach and networking
- Leverage Winged Keel’s relationships with existing institutional clients by developing and executing proactive, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives
- Build consistent travel in market to develop successful relationships by initiating in-person meetings in branch offices in the territory to increase referral opportunities
- Manage pipeline and track progress through our CRM system
- Drive sales results in the territory with a proven track record of reaching a minimum of $2,000,000 of target premium in life insurance sales
- Ability to consistently balance proactive sales efforts while handling the reactive aspects of the role. This includes leveraging internal resources to maximize growth
- Educate clients and advisors on advanced planning concepts, and the strategies we use to structure life insurance policies
- Effectively communicate the Winged Keel story and act as a brand ambassador
- Succinctly describe life insurance concepts both Traditional Life Insurance and Private Placement Life Insurance
- Leverage internal leadership teams to increase brand awareness and opportunities.
- Effectively work with internal resources at Winged Keel to deliver high level service and support to financial advisors and clients
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in institutional sales and business development within the life insurance industry
- Understanding of advanced sale concepts, including trusts, estate and income tax laws, charitable planning, business planning, and overall product knowledge.
- Understanding of Private Placement Life Insurance a plus
- Demonstrated ability to create sales/relationship opportunities with clients, prospects, and advisors in the high-net-worth space with the ability to build trust for referrals.
- Understanding of the Financial Advisor market and their clients
- Maintains Series 6 & 63, Life and Health licenses
- Excellent presentation, communication, and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to stay highly organized and accountable in a fast-paced sales environment
