What You Will Do:

  • Manage logistics, with support from the Client Development Manager, for events such as client dinners, client presentations, sponsorships, trainings, and similar gatherings.

  • Working closely with the Client Development Manager, manage and oversee Goodwin’s participation in industry sponsorships. Collaborate with conference organizers to handle logistics and maximize the benefits associated with the firm’s involvement.

  • Track and process Life Sciences requests for industry events, conferences, and related engagements.

  • Take the lead on all aspects of webinar planning, from conceptualization and scheduling to execution and follow-up.

  • Utilize Dynamics to track event, guest lists, and attendee information, ensuring accurate reporting and data management.

  • Work closely with the Client Development Manager to monitor and evaluate event effectiveness, tracking metrics and ROI, and providing post-event analysis and recommendations.

  •  Collaborate with team to craft customized responses to pitches, RFPs/RFIs, and other marketing collateral for business opportunities and client meetings. Ensure that practice group/industry descriptions, web content, matter lists, case studies, and other marketing materials are compelling and up-to-date.

  • Help maintain and enhance key business development assets across life sciences and healthcare practices, including web content, client decks, brochures, partners bios, and internal databases.

  • Monitor and analyze activity with key clients and prospects. Evaluate the effectiveness of business development initiatives across the firm and recommend strategies to enhance their impact.

  • Work closely with the LS CD Team and Marketing Team to secure strategic accolades and rankings that elevate our firm's reputation.

Who You Are:

  • BA, BS, or equivalent.

  • 2+ years of marketing or business development experience in a law firm, professional services organization, or corporate environment.

  • Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional client service skills with a positive attitude and the ability to think objectively.

  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information, and be comfortable articulating where you need help.

  • Willingness and ability to work with a wide variety of people and projects in a collective and collaborative manner.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
