Who We Are
Ema is building the world’s largest agentic AI platform to revolutionize enterprise productivity. We enable organizations to delegate repetitive tasks to Ema, the Universal AI Employee, delivering 10x gains in workforce efficiency. Founded by former executives from Google, Coinbase, Flipkart, and Okta, our team includes engineers from premier tech companies and graduates of Stanford, MIT, UC Berkeley, CMU, and IITs.
We’ve raised over $60M from investors including Accel, Naspers/Prosus, Section32, and angels like Sheryl Sandberg and Dustin Moskovitz. Headquartered in Silicon Valley with operations in Bangalore, Ema is at the frontier of what agentic AI can do in production — we ship real systems that run real business processes at scale.
Role Overview
Ema is not just building another AI tool — we are building the Universal AI Employee. Our platform allows enterprises to deploy autonomous AI Employees that execute complex, high-stakes workflows across HR, Finance, Customer Support, Sales, and beyond. We aren't just selling a product; we are redefining the future of work.
As we scale globally, we are looking for a Chief of Staff to the CEO to sit at the center of gravity of the entire company. You will join a high-octane team backed by top-tier investors (including Accel, Section 32, and Prosus) and work directly alongside Surojit Chatterjee (ex CPO Coinbase, VP Products at Google). This is not a support role. This is a force-multiplier role for the person leading one of the most consequential companies in enterprise AI.
Key Responsibilities
CEO Leverage & Executive Operations Be Surojit's right hand across all strategic priorities. Own the operating cadence of the CEO office — including weekly leadership reviews, board prep, OKR tracking, and cross-functional alignment. Ensure the CEO's time and attention are directed where they matter most. Assist Surojit with external events including media appearances/conferences.
Sales & GTM Acceleration Partner directly with Surojit to run the global sales organization. This includes pipeline reviews, go-to-market planning, sales velocity analysis, and driving accountability across the revenue team. You will be in the room and on the hook.
Product & Strategy Ops Support the CEO's product agenda — synthesizing customer insights, competitive intelligence, and internal signals into clear strategic inputs. Help drive product reviews, roadmap prioritization forums, and cross-functional alignment between EPD and GTM.
Investor Relations & Fundraising Own the infrastructure for investor engagement — from LP updates and board materials to due diligence coordination and fundraising logistics. You will be the operational backbone behind Ema's next chapter of financing.
Internal Functions & Organizational Excellence Act as the CEO's proxy in driving key internal initiatives across HR, Finance, Legal, and Compliance. Partner with functional leaders to ensure initiatives move from discussion to execution, and that Ema scales as an AI-first, high-performance organization.
Special Projects & Zero-to-One Initiatives Own high-impact, first-of-their-kind projects at the CEO's direction — new market entry, strategic partnerships, executive hiring coordination, or anything else that requires a generalist with the horsepower to figure it out fast.
What You Bring
2–4 years at a top-tier consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), with a track record of owning workstreams end-to-end.
MBA from top-tier schools.
Proven experience in a Founder's Office or Strategy & Ops role at a high-growth tech company is good to have. You know how to build in the messy middle of scaling.
Exposure to Sales, GTM, or revenue operations — you understand how enterprise deals are won and what it takes to accelerate a sales org.
You have a "Product Mindset" and can vibe code — using AI to build tools, scripts, and automations that eliminate operational drag.
"Low ego, high impact" — you can move from board deck to hiring process to investor update without missing a beat.
Based in or willing to relocate to Mountain View, CA. This role requires full co-location with the CEO.
Comfortable operating across time zones with senior leaders; a relentless owner who thrives in ambiguity and moves fast.
For California based candidates:
The standard base salary for this position is $130,000-$220,000 annually.
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
