What it isThe Chief of Staff is the architect and steward of 9amHealth’s operating system.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and partnering closely with the Co-CEOs and Senior Leadership Team, this role ensures that company strategy translates into aligned execution, measurable performance, and disciplined accountability across the organization.
This role operationalizes the founders’ vision and strategy into clear priorities, structured plans, and measurable outcomes. As a systems builder and execution driver, the Chief of Staff brings clarity, alignment, and rigor to how the company runs.
Success in this role means:
Company priorities are clear and limited.
Every executive has measurable goals aligned to company objectives.
Performance is visible, discussed regularly, and acted upon.
Cross-functional initiatives move forward without ambiguity or drift.
The COO is focused on high-leverage external impact (strategic clients, investors, and partnerships), not internal follow-up.
Partner with the COO, Co-CEOs, and Senior Leadership Team to convert strategic decisions into clear, measurable company objectives.
Pressure-test strategic plans with data and operational insight to ensure feasibility and alignment.
Ensure executive alignment before initiatives cascade to the broader organization.
Drive clarity around ownership, timelines, and success metrics for all enterprise-level priorities.

Establish and run disciplined weekly, monthly, and quarterly business review cadences that drive transparency, performance dialogue, and timely decision-making.
Ensure every executive leader has visible KPIs tied directly to company objectives, with clear ownership and defined success metrics.
Design and maintain dashboards that provide timely, decision-enabling insight across Commercial, Clinical, Product, and Operations.
Design and maintain operating rhythms that create clarity and momentum across the organization, including executive forums, quarterly planning sessions, and company-wide updates.
Ensure company priorities, performance against goals, and key decisions are clearly documented and accessible, enabling strong asynchronous visibility and reducing unnecessary meeting load.
This role owns the accountability system, not the functional outcomes.
3. Lead Cross-Functional Program Execution
Lead high-priority, time-sensitive strategic initiatives on behalf of the COO and Co-CEOs when cross-functional coordination or executive leverage is required, ensuring defined scope, ownership, and clear transition back to durable functional leadership.

Serve as executive sponsor for cross-functional initiatives until durable functional ownership is established.
Stand up lightweight PMO capabilities as organizational complexity increases.
Ensure initiatives are appropriately resourced and prioritized relative to company goals.
Partner with Commercial leadership and RevOps (or establish interim structure as needed) to improve forecasting accuracy, contract tracking, and revenue visibility.
Ensure commercial reporting is consistent, timely, and actionable.
Increase transparency into pipeline health, revenue performance, and growth drivers.
This role ensures visibility and discipline, it does not replace functional revenue ownership.
5. Maximize COO LeverageExtend the COO’s impact by ensuring strategic decisions are translated into coordinated execution.
Prepare materials and insights that support investor, board, and strategic partner engagement.
Protect the COO’s time by ensuring operational follow-through occurs without constant executive intervention.
10+ years of experience in high-growth environments (strategy, consulting, business operations, or operational leadership).
Demonstrated experience building operating cadences, KPI frameworks, and accountability systems at scale.
Strong executive presence and the ability to constructively challenge senior leaders.
Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives in ambiguous environments.
