About Carda

Carda Health is building the world’s first patient-centered virtual heart and lung platform, starting with cardiac and pulmonary rehab. With only 10% of eligible patients accessing rehab, we’re revolutionizing care through accessible, effective, and engaging home-based programs. We partner with leading hospitals and insurers to expand access to life-saving treatments.

Who are we?

We are a team of clinicians, data scientists, mathematicians and repeat entrepreneurs. And a few recovering financiers. Our belief is that technology and data, when applied to the right problem, transforms people’s lives and changes even the most entrenched industries. Carda was founded by Harry and Andrew, two friends from Wharton who share a family history of heart disease and experience with poor access to care. We now work with some of America’s largest and top-ranked hospitals and most innovative insurers. Our investors were early backers of Hinge Health, Doordash, Facebook, and Anduril.

Who are you?

An extremely high-agency operator who thrives in ambiguity and is obsessed with outcomes. You pair sharp strategic thinking with relentless execution: you can go from a messy problem to a clear plan, align stakeholders, and personally drive the work across the finish line. You have exceptional judgment, communicate with precision (especially in writing), and elevate the people around you. You’ve operated in a top tier early to growth stage startup (or similarly intense environment) and you’re hungry to build alongside a team that moves fast and holds a very high bar.

The Opportunity

Carda Health is hiring a Chief of Staff to partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive company-wide execution and strategic priorities.

This role is for a high-agency generalist who thrives in greenfield environments, excels at turning ambiguity into action, and wants meaningful ownership and lasting impact. You will help set the operating rhythm of the company, drive alignment across teams, and lead critical initiatives that accelerate Carda’s growth and patient impact.

You will work across every part of the business—clinical, product, engineering, and commercial—and be trusted to pick up whatever is most important, often before anyone else sees it coming.

In this role, you will

  • Own the CEO’s and other key executives’ priorities and operating cadence: translate strategy into weekly goals, decision-making, and accountability
  • Own cross-functional execution on the company’s highest-leverage initiatives (e.g., new product launches, clinical expansion, operational scaling, GTM readiness)
  • Run leadership team meetings and planning cycles: agendas, pre-reads, decisions, follow-ups, and clear owners
  • Build and maintain the single source of truth for company performance: KPIs, dashboards, and narrative updates for leadership and the board
  • Identify bottlenecks, unblock teams, and personally jump in to execute wherever needed—analysis, project management, partner prep, hiring processes, or customer/insurer support
  • Partner with leaders across product, clinical, operations and growth to improve processes ensure incredibly high velocity and execution
  • Support fundraising and external communication: investor materials, diligence, and special projects as needed
What We're Looking For

Required

  • 4-10+ years of experience driving strategy and execution in fast-moving environments (e.g., high-growth startups, top-tier consulting, investing, operations/product leadership)
  • Extremely high agency: you consistently find the highest-leverage problems, take ownership end-to-end, and deliver outcomes without being asked.
  • Proven exceptional ability in a few areas—especially (1) structured problem solving, (2) program management/execution, and (3) crisp written communication, (4) data analysis, modeling
  • Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives with senior stakeholders and delivering measurable results on aggressive timelines
  • Excellent communication skills — verbal, listening and written. We have a strong bias towards complete, thoughtful, written arguments at Carda Health. You must be clear, concise, and convincing in your communication.
  • Highly organized with the ability to create, adhere to, and scale repeatable processes
  • You must thrive in a high ownership, fast paced,
  • Proven ability to move fast. You should be able to complete tasks in ⅓ the time of your peers
  • Strong experience at a top tier early to growth stage company. You must know what truly excellent looks and feels like

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting fundraising, board management, or strategic finance (models, pricing, unit economics, diligence)
  • Experience building operating systems: OKRs, KPI dashboards, executive meeting cadences, and decision logs
  • Experience working directly with founders/CEOs as a chief of staff, general manager, or in a similarly fast paced, changing role.
  • Experience in healthcare and comfort navigating clinical and operational stakeholders

Why Carda

  • Opportunity to work directly with the founders and help build the operating system of a category-defining healthcare company
  • Meaningful mission with direct patient impact - if successful you will transform the lives of hundreds of thousands to millions of Americans
  • High-caliber team across clinical, product, and engineering
  • Competitive compensation and meaningful equity
  • Flexibility to work remotely with travel for key meetings
Location

Remote within the U.S., preferably near a major metropolitan area. Requires the ability to travel on short notice for meetings, leadership offsites, and conferences.

So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
