ABOUT THE ROLE

What you’ll do:

As the first Chief of Staff to the Founders, you’ll be responsible for driving mission-critical projects. This could include anything from revamping the student support function, leading a company rebranding project, or helping launch a new product. In this role, you can expect to:

  • Drive the highest-impact, most cross-functional strategic initiatives and outcomes across the company

  • Dive deep into data and processes to identify critical insights for the business and translate them into action

  • Own projects and business areas end to end, including revamping processes, identifying new features, and hiring

  • Partner with leadership as a trusted thought partner across the business

This job is for you if:

  • You have 5+ years of consulting or business operations experience in a direct-to-consumer startup, preferably at an EdTech or HealthTech startup

  • You love working with large data sets and identifying ways to improve operational efficiencies

  • You are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done successfully

  • You thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

  • You’re a strong communicator and enjoy working cross-functionally (we are a startup after all!)

ABOUT THE INTERVIEW

  • Step 1: Screening Call with Recruiter

  • Step 2: Intro Call with Hiring Manager

  • Step 3: Take-home assignment

  • Step 4: Virtual panel interview

  • Step 5: Onsite interview at office in SoHo, NYC

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
