HeroDevs is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic force multiplier to the Office of the CEO during a pivotal period of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will operate as a trusted partner and connective tissue across the leadership team, driving alignment on our most important initiatives, bringing rigor to how we set and track goals, and ensuring that strategy translates into execution.
This is a high-trust, high-visibility role for an experienced operator who thrives in ambiguity, builds strong relationships across functions, and is equally comfortable shaping strategy in the boardroom and rolling up their sleeves to drive a project to the finish line. You will help the executive team focus on what matters most, accelerate decision-making, and keep the organization marching toward a shared set of outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a strategic partner and proxy to the CEO, coordinating across all key company initiatives to ensure alignment, momentum, and accountability.
- Drive the company’s OKR process end to end; partnering with leaders to define newly created objectives and key results, then tracking progress, surfacing risks, and reporting on outcomes.
- Establish and run the operating cadence of the leadership team, including agendas, priorities, and follow-through for executive meetings, planning cycles, and business reviews.
- Translate high-level strategy into clear, actionable plans, and ensure cross-functional teams have the clarity and coordination needed to execute.
- Lead or quarterback special projects and company-wide initiatives that span multiple functions, removing blockers and keeping work on track.
- Prepare materials, briefings, and communications for the executive team, board, and broader organization, ensuring decisions are well-informed and clearly communicated.
- Act as a trusted, neutral broker across functions; building relationships, improving information flow, and helping resolve cross-team dependencies and friction.
- Identify operational gaps and opportunities, and design lightweight processes and mechanisms that scale with the business.
- 8+ years of experience spanning operations, strategy, consulting, program management, or a comparable Chief of Staff or business operations role.
- Demonstrated cross-functional experience working across functions such as engineering, product, sales, marketing, finance, and people operations.
- Track record of driving complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from strategy through execution in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
- Experience implementing and managing goal-setting frameworks such as OKRs, including tracking and reporting on measurable outcomes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear, actionable insights for executive and board audiences.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a bias toward action and the ability to manage many priorities at once.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and a high degree of trustworthiness when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, distributed team environment.
- Experience in a remote-first technology, SaaS, or open-source software company.
- Exposure to board-level reporting, fundraising, or corporate development processes.
- Background that blends both strategic and operational roles.
