The Chief of Staff to the CRO is a critical force multiplier across the Revenue organization. This role exists to amplify the impact of the CRO by ensuring strategy turns into execution, priorities stay focused, and the operating rhythm of the Sales leadership org runs with discipline, urgency, and clarity.
You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy, execution, and communication—managing the engine of the CRO’s office while connecting dots across a fast-growing business. This is a high-trust, high-impact role for someone who can see around corners, drive outcomes without authority, and bring structure to complexity. Part strategist, part operator, part project quarterback—and 100% accountable for impact.
What you'll be doing:Strategy- Partner closely with the CRO to translate revenue strategy into clear priorities, action plans, and measurable outcomes across the Sales leadership org
- Pressure-test ideas, surface risks and opportunities early, and provide data-backed insights to inform executive decision-making
- Help shape quarterly and annual planning, ensuring alignment between revenue goals, operating plans, and cross-functional initiatives
- Own execution of the highest-priority, cross-functional initiatives sponsored by the CRO—from conception through delivery
- Establish operating cadences, dashboards, and tracking mechanisms to ensure visibility, accountability, and follow-through on strategic goals
- Prepare high-quality materials for executive, board, and sales leadership meetings, ensuring the CRO is always informed and prepared
- Identify inefficiencies across processes, systems, and workflows; design and implement improvements that increase speed and effectiveness
- Act as a central integrator across Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Product, Finance, and Customer teams to drive alignment and momentum
- Serve as a communication bridge between the CRO, the Sales leadership team, and broader stakeholders—ensuring clarity, consistency, and context
- Build strong, trust-based relationships that allow you to influence outcomes without direct authority
- Operate as a trusted advisor, sounding board, and thought partner to the CRO
- Represent the CRO in select meetings or communications, acting as a proxy when appropriate
- Protect the CRO’s time and focus by acting as a “goalkeeper”—filtering inputs, prioritizing issues, and escalating what truly matters
- Bring a consulting-grade, analytical mindset to problem-solving and decision framing
- Continuously assess how high-performing revenue organizations operate and apply best practices to Later’s context
- Use data and structured analysis to identify trends, diagnose issues, and recommend actions
- The CRO’s strategic priorities are clearly defined, well-communicated, and consistently executed against
- Cross-functional revenue initiatives move faster, with fewer blockers and stronger alignment
- The Sales leadership org operates with greater clarity, discipline, and accountability
- Executive meetings are focused, decision-oriented, and well-prepared
- Risks and opportunities are surfaced early, not reactively
- The CRO’s time is protected and spent on the highest-leverage work
- 8–12+ years of progressive experience in strategy, operations, consulting, revenue operations, or a Chief of Staff–type role in a high-growth environment
- Experience operating at the executive or senior leadership level, supporting a CRO, CCO, COO, or equivalent
- Proven track record of driving complex, cross-functional initiatives from ambiguity to execution
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build trust across senior stakeholders
- Strong operational and project management capabilities, with a track record of building scalable processes and driving execution across multiple, cross-functional workstreams
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data into clear recommendations and narratives
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to tailor messaging for execs, operators, and cross-functional partners
- High level of discretion, judgment, and comfort handling sensitive information
- Bias for action, strong ownership mentality, and comfort operating in fast-paced, changing environments
- Nice to have: experience in the creator economy

Our approach to compensation:We take a market-based & data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.
Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.
To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted.
Additionally, all permanent team members are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.
Salary Range:
$150,000 - 200,000 OTE
