Job DescriptionOverview
The Chief of Staff (CoS) is a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the CEO, responsible for driving alignment across the executive team, managing critical initiatives, and ensuring the CEO’s priorities are executed effectively. This role blends strategic thinking with operational excellence, requiring the ability to “zoom out” for big-picture strategy and “zoom in” to manage details. The CoS acts as a force multiplier for the CEO, enabling focus on high-impact decisions while ensuring organizational clarity and execution.
This role is intended to be a 2–3 year developmental position, providing a high-performing leader with broad exposure to all aspects of the company's operations and strategy. Upon successful performance, the Chief of Staff may transition into a suitable role within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Projects & Analysis
- Lead and manage special projects that vary based on business priorities across areas such as strategy, operations, finance, and culture.
- Conduct strategic analysis and financial modeling to support CEO and executive decision-making.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives from ideation through execution, employing exceptional project management skill to ensure clear communication, execution, and measurable outcomes.
- Develop and maintain enterprise dashboards that connect strategic initiatives to financial and operational performance metrics.
Executive Agenda & Meeting Management
- Own the CEO and senior executive leadership team agendas for recurring business reviews, steering committees, and strategic offsites, ensuring the team’s time is focused on the most strategic priorities for Bose
- Establish governance and performance reporting to track progress against strategic and operational objectives
- Coordinate pre-read materials, briefing documents, and ensure stakeholders are prepared.
- Facilitate follow-up actions and track progress on commitments.
- Ensure CEO’s market visits align with strategic priorities, crafting agendas to achieve the desired outcomes; whether to build relationships with customers, spark engagement with employees, or understand the risks and opportunities in current or new markets.
- Partner with CEO’s Executive Assistant to plan and manage travel logistics for CEO’s trips to ensure both smooth execution and achieve strategic intent of market visits.
Culture & Communication
- Partner with HR and Communications teams to design and deliver culture-building initiatives.
- Act as a cultural ambassador, ensuring alignment between strategy and organizational behaviors.
- Anticipate and surface key business or employee sentiment issues, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Leadership Enablement
- Serve as a sounding board and thought partner to the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7–12 years in leadership roles interacting with senior teams experiencing transformation. Typical prior roles include Director level leadership roles in strategy, consulting, operations, or finance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Skills:
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to build models and analyze data.
- Gravitas and interpersonal skills to engage senior leaders internally and externally.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex programs and leading through influence across multiple functions
- Ability to manage ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
