The Channel Account Manager plans, develops, and executes channel partner programs to expand our customer base in targeted vertical markets. The CAM set sales goals, creates emotional commitment, and focuses our channel teams on sales results. The CAM creates value by expanding the marketing reach of our products, positioning them favorably against competition, and driving customer acceptance of our new products.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Develops and executes Mutual Action Plan strategies with assigned corporate locations of our distribution partners (areas include Sales, Marketing, Asset Management, Operations)
  • Maintains sales budget responsibility for assigned distributor accounts but remains supportive of entire channel program
  • Organizes and conducts corporate distributor meetings; coordinates the involvement of necessary Sensata personnel including support, service and management resources
  • Collaborates, builds rapport, and negotiates with, channel partners.  Gathers and utilizes market data to gain competitive advantages.
  • Maximizes and deepens engagement with channel partner centralized and/or specialized selling and technical teams
  • Drive field sales activities through collaboration on training, distribution report cards, and territory analysis
  • Provides analysis and insight, and direction for distributor product selection and maximization of inventory investments
  • Coordinate implementation of product specific co-operative marketing programs and campaigns
  • Facilitates and leads website/intranet content audits for accuracy & completeness (landing pages, branding, marketing content, product ordering information, customer tools, product attributes, pricing, supplier positioning) 
  • Assist in events planning, including Channel Summit, Electronics Distribution Show, distributor hosted training opportunities
  • Voice of the Customer; share distributor feedback (supplier scorecards, best practices) internally at Sensata to improve service levels and ease of doing business
  • Contributes to Channel Policy and Procedure maintenance & adherence and any related internal or external communication
  • Maintains and submits on a regular basis all required reports as deemed necessary by Channel Sales Manager

Additional Requirements:

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
  • Advanced in Excel and Power Point
  • Learning, training, teaching experience in technology product environments
  • Upselling/cross-selling, brand awareness sales skills
  • Approximately 30% travel, including some weekend and international travel

Base Salary Range:

$97,100.00 - $133,430.00
