The estimated base pay range for this role is $125,000 to $185,000 with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.

Responsibilities:
- Provides advisory services to clients, through scheduled remote meetings
- Consult clients on interpretation and use of financial statements
- Primary contact and strategic advisor to nonprofit client executive teams and boards
- Research and share knowledge of best practices in processes and procedures, internal controls, and areas of business concern or interest to each client
- Oversee Wipfli teams, ensuring expectations are met across multiple client engagements
- Ensure financial reporting meets quality standards for clients and board of directors
- Oversee audit and 990 reporting, working with auditors to complete requests, including functional expense schedule, net asset schedule, and schedule of federal awards, if applicable
- Provide technical accounting assistance in accordance with GAAP and Uniform Guidance to clients and internal teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Prior or present experience as a CFO for a nonprofit entity
- Experience with Community Action Agency or Head Start programs preferred
- Federal grant reporting and processing experience required
- Previous experience working in public accounting
- 10+ years of advanced, hands-on full cycle accounting experience including financial statement preparation within the nonprofit industry
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory and leadership experience
- Proven project management experience required
- Proven ability to build, manage and foster relationships while working effectively within a team
- Ability to travel to client sites, conferences, location specific team trainings, approximately 5%-10% annually
