The Category Specialist will manage vendor ticket resolutions, onboarding new vendors, and maintaining vendor relationships while analyzing category performance and ensuring adherence to SLAs.
Our OpportunityChewy is hiring a Category Specialists that will support our Category Management team based in Plantation, FL! As the Category Specialists you will support specific categories, managing vendor ticket resolution, promotions setup, new vendor & new SKU onboarding and new assortment onboarding. The Category Specialist will often be the first point of contact for our vendors so it will be critical to deliver high-quality, thoughtful service to our valued partners. This role is uniquely positioned to directly craft our vendor and customer experiences, ultimately contributing to the Chewy brand!

You will consistently deliver routine tasks that support broader category strategies and maintain vendor relationships through meaningful interactions. What You'll Do
- Resolve vendor tickets on a daily/weekly basis in line with our SLAs
- Set up and implement promotions as per category manager direction
- Ensure new vendors and new SKUs are onboarded according to SLAs; troubleshoot issues and advance as vital
- Work cross-functionally with supply chain, private label, finance, catalog, and promotion teams
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure a cohesive strategy and flawless execution
- Analyze category performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
- Maintain strict adherence to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and efficiency
What You'll Need
- Completion of a BS/BA degree desired
- 1+ years of experience with a preference in e-commerce, buying, account management, product management, category management, operations, analytics, finance, or marketing
- Good analytical abilities and problem-solving skills (Excel, SQL is a plus)
- Strong verbal and written communication, self-starter with a bias for action, attention to detail, solid time, data and organizational management skills
