What's the role?

We’re looking for a strategic and agile Category Manager – Technology Procurement to join our global sourcing team. You’ll lead procurement initiatives across IT hardware, software, telecom, and data center services, helping shape the future of HERE’s technology infrastructure.

This role is pivotal in driving value through smart sourcing, stakeholder collaboration, and contract negotiation. You’ll be part of a lean, high-performing team where your ability to build relationships, manage contracts, and drive outcomes will make a real impact.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category strategies for IT hardware, software, telecom, and services.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives and RFx processes with cross-functional teams.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to deliver cost savings and mitigate risk.
  • Support major renewals and procurement projects, including data center migration and laptop sourcing.
  • Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across regions to align procurement with business needs.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure service levels are met.
Who are you?

You’re a procurement professional with a strong grasp of technology categories and a passion for making things happen. You thrive in fast-paced environments, communicate confidently across all levels, and know how to navigate contract structures and stakeholder dynamics.

You bring:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, with a focus on IT categories (hardware, software, telecom).
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading RFx processes, vendor negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to interact with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Familiarity with project management principles and tools.
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and drive results in a remote environment.

The expected base salary range for this position is $96,600 to $128,000 per year. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as skills and experience. 

This position is also eligible for a target annual performance, which is subject to company and individual performance.
