The Case Manager plays a vital role in that mission by ensuring students can access the care, support, and resources they need to thrive.
Reporting to the Senior Case Manager, this position is part of Berklee’s Student Support Services team and works closely with Counseling Services, Health and Wellness, Student Success Advising, and other campus partners to help students navigate challenges—whether academic, emotional, medical, or personal.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to health and wellness early alerts, connecting students to resources and coordinating follow-up
- Provide 1:1 non-clinical consultations and walk-in support for students navigating physical or mental health concerns, including help with off-campus care and insurance
- Serve as a key member of the CARES team, assisting with triage and support plans for students of concern
- Communicate and collaborate with faculty, staff, parents, and external providers to ensure a coordinated care approach
- Help coordinate aftercare for students returning from hospitalization
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in accordance with college standards
- Assist with additional student support duties and cross-campus initiatives as needed
Who You Are
You’re a thoughtful, compassionate professional with experience helping students manage health-related challenges in a college, healthcare, or student affairs setting. You bring excellent judgment, sensitivity, and discretion, and you’re passionate about connecting students to the right support at the right time.
You’re also:
- A skilled communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and roles
- Organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
- Able to balance urgency with empathy and structure
- Comfortable working with young adults and navigating evolving needs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, education, health sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Experience in college, university, or healthcare environments preferred
- Familiarity with health insurance, community referrals, and campus-based support systems
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with care and confidentiality
