Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Capital Markets Intern in our Boston headquarters for the summer of 2026. Reporting directly to the Director of Capital Markets, the intern will support the team in sourcing, executing, and maintaining debt capital for Cabot’s investment vehicles. The role provides exposure to institutional real estate financing, capital markets research, and transaction execution. The individual will need to demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Debt Sourcing and Execution
- Support the Capital Markets team in sourcing, closing, and maintaining institutional real estate debt.
- Assist in the financing of real estate investments across multiple vehicles.
Market Research and Data Management
- Perform debt market research and maintain relevant market data.
- Track financing trends and provide insights to the Capital Markets team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with analysts and interns across other departments to support financing initiatives.
- Partner with Accounting and other internal teams on special projects as needed.
General Support
- Participate in ad hoc assignments for the Capital Markets team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven record of academic performance.
- Expected graduation date of 2027 preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook; Access a plus).
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Basic finance, accounting, or business knowledge preferred.
Work Environment & Travel
- Hybrid work model based primarily in a professional office environment.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position (e.g., seated at a desk) for extended periods.
- Must be able to operate a computer and communicate effectively in person and via digital platforms.
