POSITION DESCRIPTION

Color Of Change is seeking a Campaigns & Program Manager to play a critical role in ensuring campaigns are executed with strong coordination, operational clarity, and accountability.

Reporting to the Vice President of Campaigns, this role sits at the center of the Campaigns Department and serves as a key operational partner to campaign leaders. The Manager is responsible for coordinating campaign execution, maintaining tracking systems, and ensuring alignment across teams so that campaigns are delivered on time and with impact.

You will lead the day-to-day coordination of campaigns, managing timelines, tracking deliverables, running coordination meetings, and ensuring follow through across teams. This role is essential to strengthening operational efficiency, identifying risks early, and keeping work moving forward across a fast paced, multi-campaign environment.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Campaign Execution & Coordination
  • Own day-to-day coordination of campaigns, ensuring alignment across timelines, deliverables, and priorities
  • Maintain campaign tracking systems and project management tools to ensure visibility and accountability
  • Coordinate timelines, workflows, and deliverables across multiple campaigns and teams
  • Run campaign coordination meetings, track action items, and ensure clear follow-up
  • Track campaign progress and ensure teams are meeting key milestones and commitments
  • Identify risks or delays early, escalate with recommendations, and support teams in problem-solving

Project Management & Systems Building

  • Build, manage, and refine centralized systems to track campaign work and performance
  • Strengthen processes and workflows that support coordination across campaigns and issue areas
  • Ensure consistency in how campaigns are managed and executed
  • Bring structure and clarity to complex, multi-stream work while maintaining flexibility

Organizing & Campaign Support

  • Support organizing programs and ensure alignment with campaign execution
  • Assist with campaign logistics, including coordination of activities and deliverables
  • Help ensure rapid response efforts are coordinated and executed effectively
  • Support campaign leaders in managing competing priorities across fast-moving initiatives

Budget, Grants & Operations Management

  • Track campaign budgets and expenses, ensuring alignment with approved resources
  • Support invoice management and vendor coordination
  • Track grant deliverables and requirements, ensuring campaigns align with funder commitments
  • Assist with reporting and performance tracking across campaigns

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Support coordination across Campaigns, Communications, Policy, Digital, and Development teams
  • Ensure campaign outputs are delivered on time and meet organizational standards
  • Serve as a central point of connection for operational needs across teams
  • Follow up with stakeholders to ensure accountability and progress across workstreams

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–6 years of experience in campaigns, organizing, operations, or related fields
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience in maintaining tracking systems and coordinating complex workflows
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on follow through and accountability
  • Experience with project management tools preferred
  • Experience supporting budgets, grants, or operational processes is a plus
  • Commitment to racial justice and social impact

Reports to: Vice President, Campaigns
Team Context: Serves as a core operational partner within the Campaigns team, supporting campaign leaders and ensuring executional excellence across multiple initiatives
Collaborates closely with Campaigns, Communications, Policy, Digital, Development, and Operations teams

Location: Remote (U.S.); preference for candidates based in or near major metropolitan areas for periodic in-person collaboration
Employment Status: Exempt, Full-Time
Classification: Non-Bargaining Unit

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, core business hours with flexibility required to support campaign timelines and urgent priorities
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Compensation for this role is $85,000–$98,000 base, commensurate with experience and aligned with campaign and program management roles at national advocacy organizations. Color Of Change offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; flexible spending accounts; 401(k) retirement plan; generous paid time off; paid holidays; and paid family leave.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Color Of Change operates in a remote environment with team members across the United States. You will collaborate regularly with colleagues via video, email, and chat, and support coordination across multiple workstreams. This role requires working core hours Monday–Friday on a laptop for most of the workday, with additional time as needed to support campaign execution.
