Hybrid role (3 days/week in office) at our Salt Lake City, Boise, Fargo, Portland, Vancouver, Renton, Medford, Burlington, Lewiston offices. Preference will be given to current employees and candidates who reside within a commutable distance from our Salt Lake City, Boise, Fargo and Lewiston offices or who are willing to relocate.

As a member of the Business & Tech Systems Support team, our Business Systems Analyst Support Services Seniors maintain existing systems and deliver new solutions in support of Cambia's Core Strategies and Key Initiatives – all in service of creating an economically sustainable health care system.

What You Bring to Cambia: 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience in the healthcare industry may be substituted

  • 3+ years of experience in business requirements definition and analysis, process modeling, functional systems design, or configuration and/or acceptance testing

  • Experience working within a supported business area is required 

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills and Attributes: 

  • Advanced SQL knowledge and report-writing capabilities

  • Ability to develop detailed functional requirements, perform system testing, and report results

  • Ability to facilitate system configuration decisions

  • Experience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making in professional settings highly desired

  • Demonstrated competency in one or more supported business areas (e.g., claims processing, membership, product configuration, enrollment, eligibility)

  • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle from conception to delivery

  • Ability to facilitate communication between technical and business staff to deliver solutions that meet business requirements

  • Proven analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with clarity and conciseness

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and work independently or with minimal supervision

  • Ability to mentor and support Level I team members

What You Will Do at Cambia:  

  • Accountable for functional system design, configuration, and review and approval of specifications, data flows, and change control processes

  • Write and execute ad-hoc SQL reports, queries, and data scripts that replicate online functionality

  • Conduct unit, user acceptance, end-to-end, and regression testing; perform post-implementation quality assurance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution

  • Serve as a liaison between business areas and DTS, responding to inquiries and communicating system changes to staff, management, and end-users

  • Review, analyze, and resolve sustainment issues; make recommendations on process and technology improvements to drive efficiencies

  • Prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously, performing in a project leadership role and supporting project or production duties as directed

  • Mentor and develop Business Analysts, back up the Lead BSA as needed, and support adoption of new technologies (e.g., Talend, Tableau, APIs) 

Pay ranges vary based on the candidate's work location. The expected hiring range depends on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history.

  • Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho: The expected hiring range is $89,000 - $114,000, the full salary range is $79,000 - $129,000, and the bonus target is 10%.

  • North Dakota: The full salary range is $72,523 - $119,663.
