Business Process Mapping:
- Evaluate and document current business processes using flowcharts and diagrams to visualize workflows, identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement
- Design and implement optimized processes that enhance efficiency and align with organizational goals
Requirements Gathering and Documentation:
- Engage with stakeholders to collect and document business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of needs and objectives
- Develop comprehensive documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, and Use Cases, to guide development teams. Business Requirements and Specifications
- Develop, write, and communicate business requirements and functional specifications for the implementation of business solutions
- Assist in documenting current business processes and models and provide assistance in business case development through research and data collection
Collaboration with Product Teams:
- Work closely with Product Managers and Product Owners to translate business needs into actionable product requirements
- Assist in prioritizing features and functionalities based on business value and technical feasibility
Solution Assessment and Validation:
- Analyze proposed solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and provide value
- Participate in testing and validation processes to confirm that implemented solutions function as intended
- Develop and oversee user acceptance testing plans, validating test results to ensure product quality and alignment with business expectations
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams, facilitating clear and effective communication
- Present findings, recommendations, and status updates to stakeholders at various levels
Support Project Management Processes:
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Scrum Masters to ensure alignment of project objectives and timelines
- Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Act as a primary interface between product and development teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on business objectives and technical solutions
- Facilitate the translation of business needs into detailed product and technical requirements
- Collaborate with process owners to enhance documentation and develop metrics that support continuous process improvement and strategic goals
Agile Methodologies:
- Utilize Agile methodologies to manage and execute projects, ensuring responsive and iterative development that aligns with business goals
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related field or equivalent work experience
- Typically requires 5-7 years of relevant technical or business work experience
- Requires experience/in-depth knowledge of business operations and systems requirements processes
- Working knowledge of IIBA principles and practices
- Minimum 5 years relevant technical or business work experience
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team / group setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
