About the Role:
We’re hiring a Business Recruiting Lead to drive talent strategy across all business and high-volume functions. This is a unique opportunity to be the founding leader of our Business & GTM recruiting team, supporting full-time hiring across critical teams (Sales, Student Operations, Finance, and G&A), while also overseeing our high-volume function that hires hundreds of instructors, coaches, and coordinators who directly support Stepful’s students.

This role reports directly to the Head of People and will work closely with leaders across the company to scale talent thoughtfully and efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Business & GTM Hiring:
    Drive full-cycle recruiting for priority business roles across Sales, Student Operations, Finance, and G&A functions.

  • Own High-Volume Recruiting Strategy:
    Oversee our high-volume hiring engine, managing a team of 2 contract recruiters who hire instructors, coaches, and coordinators across the country. Set strategy, improve process, and ensure quality at scale.

  • Partner with Leaders:
    Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, helping them define roles, build efficient hiring plans, and raise the bar on quality with each hire.

  • Build Recruiting Infrastructure:
    Contribute to core initiatives including interviewer and hiring manager training, structured interviewing, process documentation, and equitable hiring practices.

Who You Are:

  • 6+ years of recruiting experience, with success hiring across business functions at high-growth startups

  • Experience owning or managing high-volume hiring processes and recruiters

  • Strategic and execution-focused—you can go from shaping hiring plans to rolling up your sleeves and sourcing candidates

  • Strong project management skills; you know how to prioritize and scale what works

  • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-change environments

  • Passionate about helping people and making career paths more accessible
