CSCI is seeking a highly skilled Business Process Reengineering (BPR) Specialist to support software and system modernization efforts for a Department of Defense (DoD) client. This role requires deep expertise in process improvement methodologies, data and activity modeling, and the application of business management and organizational development techniques. The successful candidate will apply industry best practices to reengineer business processes, integrate new methodologies into existing systems, and support performance evaluation across all phases of the project lifecycle. The BPR Specialist will work closely with business and technical teams to support large-scale process transformation efforts within Oracle-based DoD environments (e.g. Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) system).
Responsibilities- Apply business process reengineering methodologies to evaluate and improve enterprise processes across all project phases
- Conduct activity and data modeling to inform system enhancements and operational workflows
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to support process modernization and change adoption
- Identify and recommend modern business methods and best practices to improve performance and efficiency
- Create and assess performance measurement frameworks aligned with organizational objectives
- Support communication of process changes across impacted Business Systems teams to ensure seamless adoption
- Lead change management efforts to guide stakeholder engagement and buy-in
- Provide technical documentation and regular business presentations to support transformation initiatives
- Collaborate with technical and functional teams to align process improvements with system development and mission needs
- Bachelor's degree
- Seven (7) years relevant experience
- Active Secret federal security clearance
- Strong understanding of process improvement, change management, and business modeling principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels
- Demonstrated experience leading process transformation efforts in a complex business or government environment
- Strong persuasion and presentation skills
- Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
- Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Professional presence
- Familiarity with DoD systems, particularly Oracle-based environments such as DAI
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience facilitating business and system modernization within a Federal or DoD context
- Commitment to learning and applying new technologies, methodologies, and best practices
- Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
- Past experience working with a federal agency
- Department of Defense experience is a plus!
