The Role
The BOSE team drives strategic execution and continuous improvement and communication across Clinical Operations and Development. We are establishing a structured change intake and oversight engine led by Business Process Owners to prioritize, measure impact, and coordinate delivery with Quality, Digital, and other enabling functions. As part of the end-to-end continuous improvement process is a strong linkage to enhance our controlled documents and train effectively across all critical changes. The focus of this role will to support the Head of Process, Training & Execution within BOSE to oversee controlled process management and training execution by rebuilding SOPs and curricula, ensuring consistency, compliance, and efficiency while stewarding documents and audit/inspection follow-ups.
The BOSE Process Training and Execution Lead will be responsible for shaping and executing the learning agenda for their business function, ensuring employees develop the technical, functional, and role-specific skills required to excel. This role owns all aspects of function-specific learning, from needs assessment to delivery, while collaborating closely with Moderna University for enterprise-level learning programs; leadership, management, and culture learning; and shared resources. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who can balance functional expertise with cross-enterprise collaboration.
Here’s What You’ll Do
Training Strategy & Governance
Work with functional leaders and partners to develop an actionable learning road map focused on priority skills and performance outcomes. Your first step will be to integrate enterprise learning programs into these road maps to drive enterprise consistency and alignment.
Conduct regular needs assessments to identify skill gaps and prioritize learning initiatives for the function.
Build Training Strategy Framework for Development, with a focus on Clinical processes to start
Develop risk, impact and compliance driven approach to training focused on enabling GxP compliance and inspection readiness
Create and maintain a learning roadmap aligned to business strategy
Develop and facilitate learning experiences such as workshops and training sessions, tailored to roles or function as needed
Learning Execution and Curriculum Oversight
Redesign training matrices and curriculum mapping with clear ownership in a digitized framework; streamline workflow
Revamp curricula with functional partners to streamline and maintain accurate assignments
Help drive strategy for role alignment across process and training curricula
Evaluate and implement LMS optimization to centralize and automate training assignment and tracking
Partner with curriculum owners to remap requirements and validate structures.
Provide mentorship and guidance to Training Management Leads.
Work with internal and external partners to design and manage the development and delivery of functional learning content, programs, and experiences. Partner with other functions and Moderna University to adapt content from other areas for your audience.
Develop engaging learning content, including digital modules, videos, and job aids.
Measure learning impact using business-relevant metrics and continuously improve programs based on feedback.
Maintain budget oversight for functional learning activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality
Drive Execution and Compliance
Standardize communication and implementation plans for training rollouts.
Oversee compliance, metrics and escalation process.
Ensure ongoing oversight, including post-implementation feedback.
Deliver training updates through multi-channel communication (town halls, governance forums, etc.)
Collaborate with continuous improvement capability withing BOSE to ensure integration to streamlined E2E process change workflow as enhancements are built
Partner with Moderna University (ad-hoc)
Engage with the Moderna University team to integrate enterprise-wide learning solutions where applicable (e.g., leadership, management, culture programs).
Leverage enterprise content libraries, learning systems, and vendor partnerships.
Contribute functional insights to enterprise learning initiatives to ensure alignment and impact as needed
Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)
5+ years of experience in learning & development or instructional design, preferably in a corporate or technical environment.
Strong knowledge of the clinical development and clinical trial execution business domain and technical requirements; Strong GxP and focused GCP knowledge and controlled document best practices
Experience in a life sciences, biotech, or highly regulated industry.
Proven ability to design and deliver engaging learning solutions.
Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with enterprise learning systems and content libraries (e.g., Coursera, LinkedIn Learning).
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
Multi-media and design skills
Innovation in learning modalities and learner experience, including micro-learning, virtual learning, instructor-led training, learning measurement and others
Experience using generative AI to create and deploy learning programs
Practical knowledge of learning operations
Facilitation skills
Certification in instructional design, training facilitation, or relevant technical skills.

Under Washington State law, Moderna is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for the jobs covered by this description. Base compensation for these positions in Washington State range from $142,500 to $256,500. Actual salary determinations will take into account factors such as work location, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills. Compensation decisions are made on the facts and circumstances of each case.
