We are seeking a Business Operations Lead, Tech Ops to help scale and strengthen the internal operating system that powers Virta’s technology operations (Tech Ops) organization.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff to the COO, you’ll be a connector, problem-solver, and operator who ensures Tech Ops—spanning Public Relations, growth marketing, product, engineering, design, analytics, and operations—runs efficiently and in lockstep with the broader company.
This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual contributor who thrives at the intersection of strategy, systems, and execution, and who loves context-switching between high-level strategic initiatives and day-to-day operational excellence.
Establish and drive the operating rhythms that connect Tech Ops with the broader organization — including OKRs, planning cycles, and operating reviews.
Evolve product and technical planning frameworks (e.g., Now/Next/Later) to enable continuous planning, clarity across teams, and alignment across Product, Design, Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science.
Design and implement new systems and processes to support Virta’s rapid growth — ensuring our ways of working scale effectively as the organization expands.
Proactively identify gaps in operational excellence and lead solutions to close them — whether that’s improving cross-functional collaboration, strengthening communication practices, or establishing clearer decision-making frameworks.
Partner with the Tech Ops leadership team to define and activate priorities around team culture, engagement, and development.
Design and execute Tech Ops offsites, forums, and communications that foster connection, clarity, and belonging.
Identify and elevate opportunities to improve how Tech Ops works — both within the organization and in partnership with other functions.
Lead special projects that cut across functions and evolve quarter to quarter — one cycle you might partner with PR on a major launch, another with Product on roadmap planning, and another with the Coaching or Member Experience teams to strengthen collaboration.
Act as a strategic operator to diagnose bottlenecks, streamline cross-team workflows, and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
Ensure project goals, timelines, and outcomes are clearly defined, tracked, and communicated across stakeholders.
Build alignment and trust across Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, and other teams through exceptional facilitation, clear documentation, and disciplined follow-through.
Create visibility and cohesion by connecting information, decisions, and priorities across the Tech Ops ecosystem.
Act as a thought partner to Tech Ops and company leadership, helping translate strategy into effective execution.
Have significant experience in Business Operations, Product/Program Management, or Chief of Staff-type roles in a tech, product, or engineering organization.
Are skilled at designing and driving planning cadences, operating reviews, and strategic initiatives.
Have a deep understanding of how tech organizations function and can connect strategy to systems to culture.
Are a strong communicator and facilitator who creates clarity, alignment, and accountability.
Thrive in cross-functional environments with competing priorities and love turning ambiguity into structure.
Bring strong organizational and project management skills and a bias for action and follow-through.
Within your first 6–12 months, success will look like:
Tech Ops operates on a predictable, connected planning rhythm (OKRs, quarterly reviews, and roadmap alignment).
Leadership and teams report greater clarity and connection between strategy, priorities, and execution.
Tech Ops offsites, reviews, and cross-cutting initiatives run smoothly and yield meaningful outcomes.
The organization feels more cohesive — with stronger communication, clear accountability, and improved velocity.
